Again. Lockdowns don't block access to health services, uncontrolled COVID outbreaks do.
As someone with inside knowledge of this I must say I disagree. The private hospital where my wife works at had entire floors of critical beds reserved for possible covid cases that remained empty for months, were never used and paid for by the government out of taxpayer money. All the while putting off surgery that in some cases were more or less essential for up to 12-24 months and subsequently causing further health issues.

I'm not denying your anecdote for that particular hospital may be true, I'm speaking to the broader experience around the world in areas most heavily impacted by COVID.
Sounds like another lockdown for Victoria
Surely you know the drill now. Another snap three day lockdown that runs for two weeks to protect the elderly who refuse to get vaccinated.Home visits are still not allowed and masks have been mandatory in public places so in theory another lockdown should not be needed.

A 27 y/o with no underlying health conditions has died from Covid in Sydney.
The 'rona doesn't discriminate Gosh.
It does discriminate
COVID-19 deaths by age group and sex | Australian Government Department of Health
Deaths under the age of 50 are almost next to non existent. But yes there was a death reported in the media for a 27 year old. The ting is ny virus can also cause death in a human being and has in unusual circumstances so I wouldn't read too much into a one off death for an under 50.
Goodness me, you sound like my father-in-law. Give it a spell. It does discriminate

Not according to any media or comments from the government. Was talking to a mate in Sydney and apparently that dude had underlying heart issues.
Just from what I was told, apparently the family confirmed it. Don't know how true, or false, this is.Not according to any media or comments from the government.
Sounds like 8pm tonight and will last one weekSurely it’s not happening. Didn’t the “experts” extend our most recent lockdown to ensure we wouldn’t have to go into another lockdown?
