Ledley King testimonial game next Monday.

Spurs current XI vs King's XI. A few of the blokes would still get a game for us!

Kings XI: Robinson, Stalteri, King, Chimbonda, Carr, Ginola, Anderton, Ruel Fox, Davids, Parker, Huddlestone, Steve Clemence, Tainio, Berbatov, Crouch, Sherringham, Saha

Bale, Modric, Keane and Defoe a chance to be in attendance also

I was real surprised Huddlestone was named. Can't see a Spurs player even considering going in for a challenge against him. Hope he just stands in the centre circle and pings 40 yard balls to Ginola all night!

Oh jod. Oh dear. Mind you he has been playing constantly since I bought him, either on loan or for me. And three and a half stars is fairly good.

Wow, maybe it's too late to bring him in and make him that good though.

If you get Suarez to tutor him, and Sterling/Gerrard, he should still turn out decent. For such a low price, it's worth the risk.
Oh yeah im going to bring him in anyways. At 150k how can you not. See if he gets boss. If he doesnt I can probably still sell him on at a decent profit.

Deserved win to your boys, although we were fairly undermanned and it showed. Watching Cheney trying to outmark a bloke 20 kgs heavier than him was almost sad.

Undermanned? So many Hawks supporters coming out with this. You were missing Hodge, Mitchell and Lake. We were missing Pyke, AJ, Rohan and Mitchell from probably our Best 22. Not sure how you can say either side was really missing more than the other.

Oh dear.

I thought you were actually an alright poster, then you come out with this rubbish.

Yeah, I guess playing without an AFL standard ruckman or one of our premium young mids is nothing to get fussed about. My mistake.

Before the game everyone was going on about how foolish we were rushing an underdone Tippett into the side, and how Reid was in terrible form, and how Pyke out would be a huge loss for us. I'm amazed how quickly those voices shut up.

Your not reall y comparing those outs are you?

Lol at comparing those outs. Laughable.

Well done to the Swans, played brilliantly and should've been up by 7-8 goals at half time.

Deserved victory.

But now trying to gloat by suggesting their missing players were just as significant is embarrassing actually. Just enjoy the win and stop being a whinger.

Forgot that having a recognised ruckman means jack. Is this board populated by Leigh Matthews fanatics?

How about the fact Tippett hadn't play a game of footy in about 8 months?

How about missing Lake who was the reason we won the Premiership last year?

Oh, and Mitchell and Hodge aren't exactly small losses.

But continue living in your bubble. :thumbsu:

Haha sorry forgot midfielders were of much more vital importance than key position players. Hint: there's a reason they're called 'key position' players.

Goodes, Tippett, Reid and Franklin in a forward line for the first time ever, Tippett underdone, Reid in shocking form, Pyke out, Hawks were gearing up for an easy win. It's the 2012 GF all over agan. Pre-match "Swans are a bunch of nothing bit-players". Post-match "OMG COLA they're cheating if they can afford all those players + Tippett".

Not whinging.. just saying both teams had equal outs. It's the Hawks who are whinging by saying they were more crippled by injury. Hawks fans shouldn't be making excuses, just cop the loss. I would have done the same if we'd have lost.

So losing Hodge, Mitchell and Lake, easily in our best five, is not of vital importance, too? Right. Whatever you say.

It is... that's my point. We both had significant outs. Whichever side had won would have won on their merits not because the other side was weaker.
