I'm not struggling with anything. I was just commenting on the fact that going with an all girl lineup for Ghostbusters hurt the film. No original cast members, shit FX and a horrible script and it's a box office disaster. It's just a wonder big wigs in Hollywood cant see this kind of stuff.

A lot them just think, yeah everyone loved Ghostbusters, let's just make another one, people are stupid and will flock to see it. We're smarter than that. We want quality. Take a step back and actually look at the cast, the script, the effects. It's gash. They should know this before it gets underway.

IIRC they did initially plan on doing Ghostbusters Three, Aykroyd wrote a bunch of scripts for it but Bill Murray kept turning them all down.

In that case the studio should have just given up rather than go down this awful reboot path..

I actually really enjoyed Spider-Man 1,2 and 3 that stared Toby McGuire. I was young so that's probably why but I thought they were better than the amazing Spider-Man reboots.

I hate it because we cant even blow up a roster properly.

Look I love D-Rose. He is a Chicago native, favourite son, a three time All Star, an MVP. He was well on his way to being a legend before the injuries. Then the hell of all those injuries have pretty much made him just a quarter of the player he was.

We owed him 20 million next season. He is now just an average PG. So despite the history and the love I have for him, I was alright with trading him this offseason.

What I hate about it is that we didnt do it right.

It wasnt a good trade but it wasnt a horrible trade. I wanted it to be horrible. Just give Rose up for nothing. That's what I wanted. Clear as much cap space as possible. If we're lucky, trade him for peanuts and maybe a draft pick somewhere.

Instead we trade him for decent PG who can spread the floor with his shooting and run the offense in Calderon. Robin Lopez is a decent C too and Grant has upside coming off an underwhelming rookie year.

But we've added both Lopez' and Calderon's contracts and the three of them arent horrible players.

So what we have basically done is made a little cap room, but not a lot, garnered no draft picks and traded for three decent players who will probably help us win 35-40 games next season.

Where does that get us you might ask? Exactly where we were if we didnt trade Rose.

Sigh.

Yeah, although I'm a spurs fan I have always enjoyed watching Rose and he is one of my favs too. If injuries didn't come along he would right now be absolutely killing it IMO, maybe even carried the Bulls to a title, who knows.

But what you guys have done, is nothing basically, you've traded out Rose but are back to square one, filled the roster with 'bit part' players, and yep, like you said, will take you to 35-40 wins.

I fully agree you should've let Rose go, freed up a lot of cap space and used the draft.

Harold Ramis (Egon) also died so it changed everything along with Bill turning it down all the time.

Even the spiderman Civil War appearance everyone was so excited about, I was just like, him again?

Yep, it's just totally pointless. Unless we intend to do many, many more moves and this is just the first of those.
