The official 2011 allstar weekend thread

Everything seems to be official on the BBall board so here it is....

I for one would rather watch a normal weekend of BBall games than the passion-less allstar weekend.

The celebrity game Not only B grades celebrities but sometime C graders.

The allskills event. Hey lets chuck a BBall through a couple of hoops and finish with a layup.

The dunk contest Last year. Enough said.

OK so what would I like to see at the allstar weekend?

Slam dunk contest.
A contestant from the street gets to enter who has won his way in by competing with the best non-NBA slammers.

Allstar game.
Make is American NBA players vs NBA Internationals. Then we would see some real passion.

One on One for charity.
Run a one on one contest and the winner gets 1 million towards his specified charity. Lebrone vs Kobe. Dwight vs Bogut. Rose vs Cp3. Fans choose the match ups they want to see. NBA mandates that they must play if healthy or they have to sit 3 regular games.

Legends game.
Bird/MJ/Magic and the crew are back playing each other.

I hope DeRozan ends up bringing out that cartwheel dunk from that video you posted. Would be huge.

He can also apparently do a off the side of the backboard, through the legs dunk. With the pass from a teamate off the backboard suspension thing.
