Interesting trade. Rashard Lewis and 46th pick to New Orleans, Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza to Washington. Wizards win this one IMO.

Think that this will be DC's lineup:
Wall
Crawford
Ariza
Okafor
Nene

Crawford will be on the bench when they draft Brad Beal. They'd wanna hope Beal can shoot like Ray Allen as the other 4 can't shoot much more then 5 feet!

As a Bulls fan, id love us to have a stab at Ray Ray. Better than Rip and can hit the three like nobody else. He will also get a lot of looks given the way defenses collapse on D-Rose. Need him to get back and get fit.

Also interested to see where Nash goes. If I were OKC. Id take a run at him. Move Westbrook to the two. Nash would get the ball to KD and WB at all the right times. Huge leadership qualities that could push OKC over the edge.

Nash
Westbrook
Durant
Ibaka
Perkins

With Sef, Fish, Collison, Harden off the bench. Winning.

people forget about Eric Maynor. The kid can play and would help out with the PG position. I dont think they will be keeping Harden. Ibaka is more important with his defensive presence.

really? they may not be able to keep both Ibaka and Harden so they will have to choose. Lets hope thats not the case

They can keep both, it's just going to cost a hell of a lot and will probably limit them in the future in terms of making moves.

lets hope for OKCs case that Harden doesnt get big offers or could be tough

Do the Bulls have enough money to get Harden? Him and Rip could rotate frequently and become a formidable duo at SG.

The short answer is no.

Rose 15.5, Boozer 15, Deng 13-4.5, Noah 11, Rip 5, Taj 2, Butler 1 plus Asik and we are at the tax threshold without even looking at the expirings of Brewer, Korver, Watson. The odds of Reinsdorf paying tax.... well we shall see lol

Amnestying Boozer would only create around 4 mill of cap space, so help is only coming through trades. Add to that, if we amnesty Booze it impacts on the MLE. Lets face it no one is trading for Booze (unless its NY for Amare... lulz), so the only tradeable piece is Deng, and I doubt that OKC would entertain that offer.

We'll take Noah off your hands! :)

Choosing between Ibaka and Harden is ridiculous, they need both. If I'm the Thunder I'm looking to trade Perkins for an expiring of any kind. He's incredibly overrated anyway and if he costs OKC one of Harden or Ibaka then that's just ridiculous.

I think the Hornets win this one, Ariza is inconsistent and shot selection isn't his best asset, Okafor well he has always had that possibility,

Hornets will use their amnesty on lewis paying 17 million compared to 22.7 Million for Okafor and Ariza, Freeing up Salary Cap Space and giving the option to match any offer for Eric Gordon, plus giving them a chance to sign some free agents

Also gives The hornets flexibility to draft whomever at Pick 10

The problem is, even though the trade may give the Hornets cap space, will any free agents worth that space want to play in New Orleans?

Really? I know Perk isnt the greatest mover, but he is on a pretty friendly contract with a guy with his skill set (4/38). Yes he got exposed to some degree against Miami, albeit he was injured, but to play the Heat you need to get out of the Western Conference. That means getting through both LA teams, Spurs, Grizzlies etc, where they need both Perk and Serge.

I've no doubt Harden will take a pay cut to stay, and probably Ibaka will take a little less than he could get on the free market as well.

The NBA must think it was a win for NO as well or Stern wouldnt have allowed it. ;)

They aren't amnestying Lewis, they are buying him out from what I'm hearing for 13 million if done before July 1.
