Another omen just happened - a Collingwood bogan won the Brownlow.Last time a Collingwood bogan won the Brownlow,in 2003,they got smashed in the GF.

And in 2003 they were coming up against a team looking to be known as one of the all time greats by winning their third flag.

We beat St Kilda in the QF by 4 points more than Hawthorn beat them in the prelim.

The final score round 6 1909:
St Kilda 6.14-50 v Geelong 6.13-49

The final score stood, but the match points were awarded to Geelong after it was established that St Kilda had fielded a disqualified player.

This is the only example of a team with the highest score forfeiting the match.

Went in 07 & 09 so only attended winning grand finals. Scored tickets this year so bring it on.

Also for the statistically minded the Pies beat WCE by 20, we beat them by 48.
The Pies beat the Hawks by 3, we beat them by 31.
28 points better to us in both games.

For those who like a laugh we have never lost a grand final to a side that we beat by 16 goals in round 24 of a VFL/AFL season.

Plus we're just playing better!!!!

The last time a Collingwood player won a Brownlow in a year they were playing Geelong was 1930. In that year, Collingwood were defeated narrowly by Geelong in the 1st game & easily in the 2nd. To qualify for the GF, Collingwood beat the third placed side by 3 points after being down all day.
