How is it a scam if it gets you entry into games?

It's almost like you don't understand an NFT can be a digital ticket.

So investing in a ticket that gets you into games and can get you other benefits is scamming you?

So when people buy shares in Man U that's a scam too?

It would feel like it these days.

And a terribly poor example when the shares floated on the stock exchange carry very little value other than any capital gains, the two classes of shares mean there are no dividends for the class on the exchange, but a lot of people will likely believe that they carry more value than they do. A bit like NFTs.

The difference of course being that the exchange is a much more heavily regulated market where the club is compelled to announce certain things that would impact the share price, whereas NFTs are virtually entirely unregulated.

Maybe not a scam per se but open to scams. It’s not regulated by govt authorities let alone exchanges. You can’t compare it to listed shares. There’s different risk to shares and other asset classes. This is at high end of risk. Etherium, Coinplace whatever they’re called collapse what happens to your season ticket?

Considering people who buy season tickets at a set real-world price get almost the same benefits.... there is none apart from the club taking a benefit of something that can fluctuate in value and be worth a fraction of what it was bought for.

There's no risk with this. The problem is you don't understand what NFT's can do.

If you release an NFT season ticket it still only has an open use for the same period a season ticket does.

Because actual tickets are where massive scamming occurs.

I mean surely you've heard of people thinking they have bought tickets to games then turn up and find out their tickets are fake?

You can't fake an NFT ticket, you can verify authenticity and even track ownership far easier and it's a lot easier to prevent resale of them if there's dodgy shit going on.

Which is why its hilarious that all the slow types scream scam when ticket scams have been going on forever anyway.
