You still haven't said why it was incorrect?

It was obvious, it's why you kept posting the same thing.
I have stated it. You have ignored it and that is your problem and your issue to deal with if you think that. Maybe you think this forum is now enacting a holocaust on you and Bojan. I wouldn't be surprised.

So FIFA confirm next WC to feature 12 groups of 4. Eight best third through to last 32. Increase from 64 to 104 games.

Not a fan of last 32 but happy groups of four guaranteeing at least three games for every team

Groups of 3 would have been stupid. I don’t mind it’s a 48 team World Cup and there will be 104 games moving forward. When has more football ever been a bad thing?

8 guaranteed spots for Asia. Australia won’t struggle to make the World Cup as they did for 2022. So that’s a good thing.

Ian Wright couldn't just take the win - that the BBC was forced to back down on Match of the Day by people who claim not to be BBC employees. He demanded that "heads have got to roll” at the top of the BBC. This is 'good bloke Wrighty' that as a player was regularly in front of the FA's disciplinary panel for offences including spitting at fans and trashing a referee's dressing room.

The issue is not just divisive amongst BBC audiences but some BBC staff have hit out at “multi-millionaire presenters who are drawing the picket lines and expect everyone else to join”.

For us watching? Never.

For the guys playing? It is definitely becoming a problem.

Do you not worry about the amount of games Bruno has played in recent years? I certainly do.

Not really. It’s his job and he gets paid to do it.

It's not a mid season world cup so won't be an issue. That will never happen again.

Yes it will.

Also, do people not realise that temperatures in parts of the US will be higher than in Qatar at the same time, yet only Qatar's WC was moved?

I certainly would be willing to have a little less football to watch in exchange for player welfare.

There’s plenty of leagues televised here now so we’d still have games to watch. Might broaden horizons as we watch more alternative leagues to EPL.

What's being discussed here? Wasn't the conversation about an extended World Cup?

Which if so, unless it's mid season again, the PL won't alter dates for again?

No it won't.

Firstly, all 211 FIFA members now vote on hosting rights. Qatar only won because they could bribe a majority of the 24 person FIFA exco. A mid season world cup simply won't happen because it is too difficult to buy the world cup now.

Secondly temperatures on average in the US/Canada/Mexico are much lower than Qatar. 45 degree days are not the norm in summer like they are in Qatar. Climate is not an issue for this tournament.

A mid-season WC might end up happening for any number of reasons. Saudi Arabia could well be hosting in 2030, and to say it will never happen again means deliberately excluding a large portion of the world from being able to host.

In your opinion.

Another Asian World Cup wouldn't be that soon.

It won't happen. Qatar was not a mid season world cup when it went through the bidding stage even though everyone including the exco committee were fully aware that it was never going to happen. They were bought off and faced no consequences for taking bribes. 211 member nations have representatives at FIFA that are accountable to their national FA. Not easy for them to take a bribe and wash their hands of the subsequent shitshow.

As for the Saudi bid there's no official bid at all. The main contender is the joint South American bid and this is almost certainly where 2030 will be played being the centenary anniversary of the first WC. AFC nations are also excluded from hosting in 2030. Australia cannot bid for 2030 jointly with NZ as we are an AFC nation and are excluded from 2030 bidding.

As for excluding nations - plenty are now excluded because it is a 48 team comp and cannot host due to a lack of infrastructure. If a nation doesn't have a suitable climate or infrastructure it can't host, end of story. Whether that be Iceland, Burkina Faso, Saudi Arabia or Cuba.

Summers in Toronto have days around 34-35 that feel like 40+ with the humidex, not the norm but it does get pretty uncomfortable some days. Can’t imagine weather being an issue though.

I'd say 2030 will be South America. 2034 Europe and 2038 back to Asia with the main AFC contenders being China & Australia/NZ (believe China will win 2038 rights). That means we wouldn't see a possible WC in Australia until 2050.

Another Asian World Cup wouldn't be that soon.

It would if it was in conjunction with a European bid which is what's being floated.

Rubbish. There's a reason joint bids are becoming the norm. Do you think Canada are excluded because they don't have the infrastructure?

Lol. Canada are not excluded because they launched a joint bid with the US & Mexico.

Nicaragua, Dominican Republic & Jamaica however will be excluded from hosting jointly.

They'd still be behind a South American bid in terms of timing but also due to the anniversary.

Unless they're counting the American/Canada/Mexico bid as South American as well?
