Many have no idea about the team they support or its history.

Many talk shit and talk down to other clubs fans.

Chelsea has shitloads of plastic fans. Brentford not so much.

The thing I have been taking notice of weekly is the table. When the league broke up in July Inter Miami were last in their conference. 7/9 since Messi has come in and 8 points of play off places with 9 games to go (and another cup final). With Messi playing each game they'd be favourites to win all of them and you'd back them to reach the play-offs from here.

While he's been fantastic, it's been more than just Messi that has contributed to their rise. He also attracted Jordi Alba and Busquets who have been significant.

More successful you are the more 'plastics' fans you are going to get.

And some of those new 'plastics' will learn about the history of the club, will stick with the club through the lean times. They'll go to games, and buy merchandise which all goes towards making football clubs more sustainable.

We all start somewhere.

If people are arseholes online, call them out. Every club has them. And every club has plenty of new supporters that just want to be involved. Good on them I reckon.

Is it any wonder the vitriol we send your way. You earned nothing, bought everything. I am conditioned to dislike Arsenal but respect their approach, you have no redeeming features since 2004.

Cheated, bent rules, broke rules, copped wet lettuce punishments... and only a Russion invasion saw the man responsible not fit for purpose and then got rewarded with a man who spends with even more gay abandon.
And large sections of fans don't even have the humility to not lord it over others.
