To complicate things further, the usual winners of the Welsh League, The New Saints, are an English club and get into the Champions League most seasons.

A slightly different situation. Wales are in UEFA whereas Australia is in AFC and NZ in Oceania.


Auckland & Wellington cannot participate in ACL as a representative of the A-League. They should be allowed to compete in the Oceania Club Championship. It would improve the standard of Oceania massively and also provide a team that could actually be competitive at the WCC. They certainly won't be getting trounced 10-0.
