He is a quality player and as a striker he would be effective with his feet and head, if we get another winger on the right we can use him as a false 9 to bring depay and RW to cut in and create havok

Not really that surprising - their tactic when things get desperate late in games is to lump it into Fellaini who creates an extra man on the left-hand-side and tries to knock the ball down or on for other players.

Would also make sense in that he is probably not going to get a game in central midfield given that United already have Carrick, Herrera, Schneiderlin and Schweinstiger, and even Mata as options. Plus it saves them having to spend money on strikers they aren't going to get anyway.
