Wow. John Barnes.
They'll be trotting out Aldo again no doubt.
You keep hoping. He makes a good point though. Sterling has regressed this season and he also says the likes of Ross Barkley & Harry Kane should stay put so you can hardly claim it's all about Liverpool.

Kane yes with us hopefully CL bound he'll be testing himself against the very best, he is also a sure starter in a system that suits him. But I think Barkley should be moving to a United, Arsenal or even us for him to go to the next level. Even City & Chelsea he'd be a regular so they wouldn't be a bad move for him eitherSeems some people can't accept the possibility that footballers joining their club might not be the best idea in the world.
FWIW I think Barkley should stay with Everton for the moment and Kane also with Spurs.

If we were to break the bank for 1 signing this summer it would be him and not Berahino. 3 of Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Son & Barkley behind Harry Kane would be fantasticWould be interesting if someone like Leicester went after Barkley.
Sideways move, yes, but he'd still be playing CL for at least 1 season and would have the challenge of really solidifying the club as a top 5-6 regular, whilst maintaining regular game time etc.
Weather they'd pay the 35m+ is another story.
If I didnt know better I'd say a young Liverpool player has had his head turned and the club are trying to get a pre-emptive strike in.
Don't see any other reason why a Liverpool employee would need to bring up a former player in the press.
Like I said if I didnt know better I'd say it's a message to a young Liverpool player with his eyes on a prize.Quite funny you conveniently ignore Kane / Barkley in the article. Of course that weakens your argument about it being driven by LFC.

Nice chatting.
This is so amazing. I can't believe we're going to come up against these at all. Little old Leicester!Schedule for this summer's International Champions Cup:

Some handy warm up games in there for Leicester before the real stuff starts! Who'd have thought 12 months ago that they would have an opportunity to play against teams like Barcelona and PSG, even in a friendly!
Details of the Aguero fee been leaked.
€12m on signing, €12m in 2012 and €12m in 2013
€250k for every season with more than 15 goals, and every season with 25 appearances. That'll cost €2.5m
€1m for each league title, another €2m
€500k for getting to a CL semi, €1m for getting to the final. So far €0
So a max of €42m, bit cheaper than was first rumoured.
The other thing linked was that there was no "Madrid clause" in the contract as was rumoured. He never seems to have been too interested in a move though, which is good for us.A pretty good deal with him saying he is happy to stay until 2019. Just that bit too old for Barca and/or Real to try and pry him from your hands now.
