I have tried watching a bit of a La Liga, and I have to be honest but it bores me senseless. I don't know what it is about it, perhaps it's because I'm a prejudiced Englishman but I just can't get into it. Even the atmosphere at the games is weird.

The Bundesliga is better imo. Has a more English feel to it

Every league is a crappy La Liga.

A decade ago, where Spain and Scotland were actually a lot closer (OK, not that close, but Scotland were a Top 8 nation at the time). A time where even Scottish teams can beat pesky Catalan teams. A time where going to Scotland actually was a good stepping stone to getting acclimatised to Euro football culture.

I get that feeling too, though I think it helps if you can identify with a club. I like to see La Liga's 2nd tier lot in Valencia and Sevilla cut it up, though I do admit that if I do have to watch any La Liga match, I try to stick to Castille teams if possible.

Never been our problem, beating the best teams. It's beating the shit ones. Case in point again this season with our excellent record against the top 6, then we lose to Burnley and Bournemouth.

Two of Liverpools wins in the mini-league came against a hugely depleted arsenal side in the opening match and a shit Chelsea before the formation switch. The games came at the right time for Liverpool, but they got the job done
