Gasp!

Are you dissing the South American Qualifiers?! It is like THE Ultimate in qualifying. An 18 round robin system that sees opponents play their continental bothers over the four year cycle.

It is the best system you can have for a 10 nation confederation, and these days, with all 10 with a sniff of a chance, the competition is even fiercer!

And you want to give up the Round Robin for likely the NA system, which let's face it, is far more likely to happen.

If you want crap, Africa's calling. Such a poor way of qualifying...
I dont rate the 10 team league they run. Makes it too tough for the minnows to go on a cup like run and make it. Part of the beauty of the WC is the obscure sides making their way through qualifying. In a league system it is harder for that.

Well, as things stand with 6 games to go. I'd say any team from 8th up has a good chance to qualify. It also keeps the other teams honest and ensures what goes through to the World Cup is proper quality that has shown their strength in the toughest league. Look at Argentina, they're on the borderline as things stand!

I have seen all of the teams, including Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia, pull off excellent runs, and on their day, can be really deadly teams. I wouldn't be surprised if we'll be seeing them in the World Cup, and actually doing well.

It's much better than 2 groups of 5, and well, I don't think you'll find many that dislike the system. Even if they can't make it, the goal is to ensure they beat their rivals and not finish last.

I think South America is really the last continent we need to worry about obscure names making the cup, any team that makes it there is proper mint. Africa on the other hand... their qualifying ensures new faces, but not necessary the best ones. You can have dumb luck where you could have... say, Algeria and Ghana in a group, and not have one of them in the World Cup. Heck, when the Egyptian team was at their peak, they still couldn't make it because of some dumb luck going against them.

Would Bravo even be in the top 5 PL keepers right now, let alone the world?

Strange list.
when the voting closed (september) he had barely started in the prem and was coming off an excellent season with barca and a form with chile.

The FIFA lists are complete BS and aren't even worth paying attention to.

How that hack Griezmann makes it over Defoe is just a mystery.

Probably because he did ok at the Euros.

So scoring a few junk goals at a crap competition for a crap national side is better than scoring 15 goals for Sunderland?

Crap competition lol.

Your salt levels are amazing.

You seem to have been genuinely worked up about similar issues in the past so that was a pretty weird joke.

1) When have I gotten worked up over similar issues before?
2) I tried comparing playing for France to playing for Sunderland......how can you not get sarcasm in that?

Read Pogb missed out on the team by two votes and there were over 25,000 cast

Nope, David Alaba is and has been the best LB in the world for awhile now

Wrong Austrian buddy. Try the guy that replaced him in the LB position before his retirement.

Same old, same old stuff... If not for Neuer, (and that's a FIFA favourite right there), you might as well call it the Classico XI.
