It doesn't but you had to have been eligible for the country you wish to represent today when you played for the under age team.

Fornaroli obviously wasn't eligible to play for Australia when he represented Uruguay at youth so level rendering him ineligible to represent Australia now regardless of his citizenship status.

What it will help with is HG quotas in ACL matches for his club.
I thought they changed it so that youth football doesnt count?
Youth absolutely counts

If he didn't play for Uruguay then, then he would be eligible, should he be naturalised.

Isaias will become an Australian citizen this year and he wants to play for us, he will be eligible also as he didn't play underage football for Spain.
