Again, and it gets tiring saying it but under this coach, there will not be any change.
He will ask for mature recruits in the off season. Higgins and Crouch will likely join. This means we further inhibit the development of a young player on the list just as we have done to players like Clark, Constable or Narkle.
I also believe Josh Jenkins will get handed a good chunk of matches next season and that means Kreuger and Ratugolea will stall in potential development.

Until this coaching staff get a clean out, it does not change and has not changed the best part of 7 long years.
Coach KPI to get to the 4. Bank it.

Is Carter finishing this year or am I thinking of something else?
Yes he is - this year will mark 12 years on the board which as per the club’s constitution states directors can serve a maximum of 12 years.

To a point. Premierships don't actually bring that much. Not for us anyway.
We actually made a loss one year cause we made way too much merch
Also the club doesn't get gate money from finals.
But being continually up the top makes money due to sponsorship and more media exposure.
And especially with a club like us with the reserved seats at KP. That is huge.
Winning the flag or finishing 4th doesn't make that much difference in seating revenue etc.
Keeps us on broadway and the nice tv slots too
My point was football clubs these days are far more than on field
We are just emotionally invested

Jeez has it been that long? How long since he took over from Costa?

We can always respond to losing important games. We just can't ever win important games.

As a fanbase, in 2007, we were furious after the North Melbourne game. We were angry with the club and communicated it directly. Enough was enough.

In 2007, Paul Chapman called the boys in for a reality check and the coach, for all his future problems, was up to the moment.

In 2020, I'm furious again. Last night was so ridiculously predictable. Next week's response will also be, and already is, predictable. It just won't matter.

Where are the leaders right now at this club? Nobody stands up within and calls it what it is.

I still remember in 2007 ..I was angrier the week before ... we were beaten by Haw. History had taught me to never ever feel good after they beat us... yet this group seem to roll it off. A year or two later ..they learnt the hard way. Experience teaches.

Maybe there is something in that ... the trouble with experience and maturity is settles , it sedates , it mediates ... yet it also makes one reactions slow and ones willingness to be frantic is tempered. The older you get you know that pain is not always something that will be gone by the morning...

When I look at our side I see a group that try to play control but do I see the bloodshot eyes of a mantic obsessive? Id say we want it ..but are we willing to get hurt to get it done?

2011:

He first joined the Cats board in 1988 but retired in 1993 on appointment to the AFL Commission. He served on the Commission until 2008 when he re-joined the Cats board and was appointed President in 2011.

Correct. In fact, rebuilding is more costly for a team like us because in the down years, reserve seat sales drop off. Better to fill the stands every week, year in, year out, than have a real crack and then fall away for 2-3 years. (In their opinion, not mine. Much rather fall for a short while).

They sure talk a lot about something that they say doesn’t bother them.
Sounds like he was asked the question and he answered it - probably wouldn't have been appreciated if he said 'no comment'

Well the finals series for us has gone as predicted.
Lose week 1
Come out absolutely firing week 2
I only pray that week 3 will change this year.
It’s too bloody predictable.
I admit I think Brisbane will win. It’s 100% EXACTLY the type of game we usually lose.

But maybe, just maybe this is the year they turn it around...

I think we are close to good things
Getting more confident each day
