Just so people know, ended up going to Wolfe Lane for my birthday initially (Teriyakicat failed to show!) but they only served scooners! Since when have scooners been a thing in Perth? They had no Coke too so if you wanted something with bourbon/whiskey, it had to be Pepsi!

It also got really warm very quickly in there so we bailed and went to Belgian beer cafe down the road.
Sounds Hipster.

Also, everyone preparing for the storm tomorrow?

Just seen on FB that police want the public to stay away on Heirisson Island
Don't want any pesky mobile phones videoing them tasering the aboriginal protestors.

I'm amazed at how many people commute to Perth from Mandurah for work. I used to hate enough when having to drive down the opposite way semi regularly from Perth and that was at least paid being on work's time, screw driving that distance every bloody day on your own time before you start.
Audiobooks. You're welcome.

I am flying in the morning :(

Hoping it gets cancelled. There is a weather warning for the airport, not sure if it will be enough.

If it is cancelled, I'll be going to see Billy Idol. Olwyn has already done me a few favours with some paid time at home and the pub, hoping he has one more up his sleeve.

Come on Olwyn old son!

This post probably belongs in the "I'm too old for this shit" thread

Spotted three teenage kids dressed as typical 'lads' (runners, sports shorts, jumpers, white hats, you know the look) but all 3 of them had this bit of hair sticking out from under their hats down towards their jawline. Aside from looking ridiculous, since when was this a 'thing'?

No idea mate but looks are getting more and more ridiculous every year.
They've got a fair way to go to rival the seventies tbh.

Just heard that German place in East Perth and the Zapfhall place cant do the traditional 1 litre jugs because of liquor licensing laws.

God these lawmakers are fogeys of the highest order here.

Presuming you mean "jugs" not hugs, isn't a normal jug more than a litre anyway?
