"Sausage in bread"?? Who the **** has ever said that out loud, anywhere ever?

Oh, and went to Elizabeth Quay the other night, it's great. Too-cool-for-school hipster cynics like Silent Alarm can go suck my big one.

It's a Sausage Sizzle.

Every sporting club I've been involved with hold Sausage Sizzles to raise money.

Sausage Sizzle, you twats.

You cant ask for a sausage sizzle though. That's like asking for a bbq.
Fair point.

I don't really call them anything I suppose. When we go to Bunnings, I normally tell the missus I'm going past the sausage sizzle.

Wanted to know what's the thoughts on the best place to watch a gig at. Forgetting about the Arena (as its pretty darn good), Red Hill Auditorium is awesome. Concrete colosseum, literally. Only down thing in that you have to catch a shuttle bus out there (or drive).

Whats some other great spots? I haven't been to belvoir, but have heard its a goodie too.

Freo Arts centre is a great venue, cool building, really chilled, sells pint stubbies of Little Creatures and easy to move around. Plus the Astor Mt Lawley, probably 2 of my faves.

Have seen a few shows at Bevoir. Pretty good setup.

Sandalford winery have had some good concerts as well.

Belvoir is good, but a nightmare to get out of after the show.
That's because every ****wit wants to turn right onto GNH. If you turn left and then left again at West Swan Road you can get out quickly, but it requires enough people to make that decision that you can get to the exit.

Ok. Thanks. Good to know that's the one thing that ground your gears about my post.

I actually started typing 'hotdog' and then changed my mind because I figured 'hotdog' was too American. It seems you're right and I should've typed 'sausage in bread'.

EDIT: On second thoughts, sausage sizzle is an acceptable term for 'a barbecued sausage, served in a single slice of bread', especially in WA, so **** it, I stand by sausage sizzle.
Who the **** calls it a sausage sandwich, ****ing new south welshman

Ima just leave this one here. For the record, I say 'potato scallop'.

This is as riveting as the Chicken Treat convos we'd have in cricket threads. Perth people are so interesting.

Its a Perth thread what did you expect. Anything relating to Perth ends up in culture devoid mess of boredom and backward thinking.

Haha well played. I always just thought your av was just some abstract art for some reason. Seriously though it's the poor mans Red Rooster.

My post was tongue-in-cheek, I think we're plenty interesting.

Probably already been discuss but has anyone been to Elizabeth Quay? Is it worth the risk of getting stabbed on a bus to have a look yet?
Went down there last night. Was pretty good actually and will be great once there's more restaurants and bars down there. It's a winner for me.

Nah your probably wrong, Perth people are the most backward citizens of Australia outside of far North Queenslanders
