Stopped into the Megastore this morning at 11ish, was packed for the 10 minutes or so I was there. Hope the $$$ are rolling in

Went to the show today and stopped by the pafc showbag stand. I overheard someone ask if there was any 1914 replica PBs left, and then I heard the words "Pre Order" and "Monday". If you link that to by discovery on the Ten News clip of the shopping sample, by wits tell me they're probably going on pre order Monday...

I did hear somewhere that the Club is still to make a loss though?
I just can't work it out.

There is making a loss and then there is running at a loss. By the time Royalties and Licensing is paid for we make a loss, if we were running at a loss the club wouldn't be doing meals and still have the TAB/Sky Racing/Fox connection for a start. In 10 years our financials will look a tonne better and when we finally shake the SANFL's clutches we will thrive.

Our licensed premises and merchandising arms are profitable.

Where we run at a loss currently is because we're servicing debt, getting gouged on matchdays (while paying down all expenses) and paying for our AFL licence for a second time.

Keep in mind that putting all other costs aside, we are on the hook for $9,600,000 in player salaries alone.
