Herb is on the waitlist and is absolutely appalled by the club's handling of the memberships surrounding the move to Adelaide Oval.

Herb is angry that he can't get a good seat at Adelaide Oval and it's the club's fault. This is despite the fact Herb had ample opportunity to sign up for the move when we had roughly only 20,000 ticketed members.

Herb wears a 2007 members cap while mowing his lawn and only gets involved in workplace footy banter when his Port supporting colleague has already well and truly won the day.

Farking Crows version of Herb hit me up at a 1 year old Birthday Party yesterday.

Haven't seen the campaigner in 2 years.... Not even a hello - "Oh hai I caught an awesome game of footy this morning on Fox.... Did you see it"

2007 GF was on.

Pretty sure Herb calls us Port Power as well.

Herb also found that 2007 members cap in an op shop and he paid $1 for it

Did you tell him 'I made back to back tons so heck off you campaigner'? Or is that not 1 year old birthday party behaviour?

To be fair that has been their biggest achievement since their inception

Did you tell him 'I made back to back tons so glory be off you campaigner'? Or is that not 1 year old birthday party behaviour?

LOL.... I did internally.

Brushed him off with a "Yeah I saw the first couple of minutes and we were up.... Looked like we might win, but can't remember it"

Design by committee is inherently worse than design by a single person or small group with a shared vision and direction.

The survey is indicative but taking every branding related result on it as gospel and introducing it will lead to muddied, awful branding.

Surveys should only ever be used to gauge ideas that you're already prepared to implement.

As somebody who works in branding and strategy, it was clear to me that the survey was written with the intention of getting buy in on a decision that they'd already made (number panel).

So not exactly the "you asked for it so we did it" angle that they were pushing, is it?

Pretty sure Herb calls us Port Power as well.

On my recent river cruise through Europe we had a number of Travel Agents join us in the second week, one of them must have been Herbs wife. After spending a few cold hours on the top deck I went to my cabin to take my PAFC top off and head for a few more drinks at the bar.

All of a sudden from behind me I hear "Oh a Port Power supporter, there aren't many of you around". My response was "there are millions of us all over the world and getting bigger every year". She then asked me if I was from Adelaide but by this point I just kept walking.

That's because he only goes for Port Power, not Port Magpies. Herb's a ridgy didge Pecker from way back.

Herb is the mythical South Adelaide supporter from Morphett Vale that for reasons only known to himself, chose to follow Port Power est 1996 in the ALF.

He still hasn't realised that the Panthers are no longer based at St Marys.

No but they can point to the fact that plenty of supporters were in favour of their decision.

It's a good strategy.

I met a guy once who's life was clearly "Port Power". He was absolutely decked out in teal port gear, had the club song as his ringtone, had rings with our logo on them, you name it, he had a Port Adelaide version of it.

He was a big fan of Johnny Butcher and as mentioned referred to us as "Port Power".

Not sure what the point of this story is but he seemed like an absolute champ.

Yeah for getting what you want.

If I'm wrong about this I'm happy to recant, but my memory of the survey is that the guernsey question was in two parts.

Part One: BiB vs Prison Bars vs SBS/Other

BiB won on approx 60%, PBs are 2nd with approx 40% and the SBS/Other had practically zero support. BiB is the favourite 3:2, but there's still pretty good support for the PBs. Despite this, they don't figure at all in Part Two.

Part Two: BiB with panel vs BiB without.

With the PB option taken away, the approx 40% of people who just voted for it now only have the choice between the option they didn't want, or something that's kinda half of what they just said they wanted.

It's crafty questioning and I think it had some influence on the result.
