Roast me all you like but I feel like Polson will be the big improver/bolter next season, especially under a positive and player instinct driven mentor in Teague, we will see the lad flourish and perhaps become our new Dennis Armfield.
If he is healthy, I would play him round 1, back him in and hopefully give him a shot in the arm of belief and self-confidence, I truly think he Has the tools and attributes to be a pretty good player at AFL Level.

Perhaps he should start in the VFL and build some form? We all hope he does well, but he's just not equipped for AFL football at the moment.

I honestly have seen several glimpses of him being capable of AFL footy, probably does need a bit more work at the gym, but I firmly believe that many is his issues are psychological/mental. I honestly think in time, he will prove a lot of people/detractors here wrong, I am dismayed to see so many have seemingly written him off. I am very intrigued to see how he goes in a full season under Teague and his regime, i firmly believe good things will happen.

Why are you dismayed? If Polson is going to make it it's up to him to stick it up the naysayers. Opinions change quickly.

Do they?

On one hand, this is the positive thread. On the other hand, it took Dylan Grimes 6 years to convince Richmond supporters of his worth, Plowman is the first dropped and castigated by the fans (either him or Levi). We can go through every team and find whipping boys who perennially get selected by the coaches yet the fans don't catch on, and regardless of performance people do not want to change their minds.

Opinions are formed quickly, but are reluctant to change, IMO. People do not like the idea that they were wrong.

just on that, is this the strongest list since the 1995 era?

It probably depends on the personality type. Many are permeable to a change of mind about all things football related. Some are as stubborn and unrelenting as old boots. Casboult was one who changed the minds of many supporters this year but not all. You can never make a sweeping statement for the entirety of a group such as a supporter base though.

No-one ever lost money betting on the pettiness of humans, or their reluctance to change minds made up.

Took me two years to come around to Bruce Doull.

I certainly think so.
The scope for growth is enormous.
Competition for spots will be a real thing each week.
We have a coach who encourages flair
Also, if we have a good first 2 months, watch out - winning is a contagious habit :D

I'm bloody Big Kev excited!

but has there been a stronger list - 1999/2000 perhaps.........?
I think talented few vs talented list we have now
Wait for our young talent to BO, with so many, it won't be easy for the opposition to shut us down :D

do I have to spell it out? compare the lists, spot for spot, ffs - I'm way too busy & this sort of thing calls for someone with a nose for history & player potential
Too early to judge for me ole boy ..
12 months time I'll let you know ..
In saying that I hope today's list trumps anything that we've had at any given time..
