Norm Smith Medallist
Often a much maligned and bypassed genre by people delving into da methulz, afterall the "you are a homosexual for listening to this genre" and "enjoy licking anus" etc stigmas attached thanks to the bare chested, muscle bound, weapon laden members Manowar do not help.
I must admit I have fallen to this mentality a bit but I have always had Blind Guardian's "Nightfall in Middle Earth" in my playlist, it was always pretty epic but finally a few years later I decided delve into the rest of their discography starting with "Somewhere Far Beyond" and the epicness blew me away, I then subsequently downloaded "Imaginations from the Other Side" and blew a few loads after a few tracks, it kept getting better and better.
At this point I cursed myself as to why I have been avoiding this genre for so long and thus the seeds have been sown on virgin soil and we get to the purpose of this thread, does anybody have any must "hear" recommendations?
Of course Ill do the genre due diligence and check out:
-Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I & II
-Land of the Free
-Blast From the Past
-The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: Part Two
-Ample Destruction
-Death of Glory
-Warning of Danger
-Invictus
but this is only a speck in the ocean.
Given the stigma attached making that giant leap of faith in to this genre is not dissimilar to a religious person breaking the shackles of faith and fear of eternal torture in rejecting the existence of deities. Here are some samples which can hopfully help those confused with the step:

also I guess this could fit into the general metal thread but I feel it is too black metal orientated and many posters knowledgable about the power methulz genre do not read it.

), even cringeworthy, but there's no denying their talent as musicians, IMO. Into Glory Ride, Hail To England, and Kings of Metal are all classic heavy metal albums I think.
