For Formula 1 people, does the McLaren favouring Norris over Piastri theory have legs? Also, did laugh when they were calling him a pole sitter.
Hard to say about the favouring, I think Oscar is the better driver but is cracking under the pressure. It may be in his head all the favouritism talk and it’s undoing him.

The Italian GP where they cocked up the pit stop then told Piastri to let Norris pass was a bit much. Max Verstappen was laughing about it over the radio.

I guess this a good spot to put this.

There seems to be more older mums n dads and/or grandparents moving to help their young families with kids.

Seems to be the older ones moving .
Do the families move closer to their mums n dads aswell ?

I don't know we don't have kids.

But I guess with cost of living the extra help would help alot .

You can put ya garden shed right up against the fence.
But I could put up my cat enclosed area there umm.I guess the cat area is fixed and you can move a garden shed if you need too.

My friends have their chickens too close to the house or property boundary or both. It's a decent sized block and they only have 2 or 3 them. It's the kind of thing no one really cares about, but if that one person who is a pain in the arse about everything reports them they would technically have to rectify.

Yeah one of my lovely neighbours complained to the city.
He asked me what I was doing he said you cant do that even i said i paid half for this fence.

In the end I dug a few extra post holes and got the thing bult to keep to keep cats safe.

We also had to move the house back an extra meter so 2 meters from.the fence.
For safety if the roof guys fell off.
I see houses almost on the fence line now a days .

A close support network is incredibly underrated.

My wife's folks are an hour away. My mum is only 10 minutes, but is 15 years older than my wife's parents, and is not anywhere near as mobile as them so can't really help out.

We subdivided our block and my in-laws built next door. Father in law is super handy so helped me build everything, he takes our dogs for walks and the mother in law always looked after the kids or picked them up from school. Now they both have terminal cancers but are close next door so we can help them out now.

Any aircon installers here?

i want to get ducted aircon in my house, BUT, the centre of the house has raked ceilings with no cavity for ducting.
Other than installing a bulkhead (which personally i cannot see where it could be installed without looking ugly or blocking a high window), are there any other options other than having two ducted systems?

here is a diagram to show the issue
so the yellow stripes are where there is no ceiling cavity. ceiling rakes down from top level (entrance and bedrooms) down to dining living kitchen level.

the entry (which would be the logical place to put a bulkhead to get from left side bedrooms to right side master/office/kitchen) has a full glass window above door to ceiling so bulkhead out of the question (unless i remove window, and replace with smaller one to accommodate a bulkhead)?

so i think i have no choice other than to put one unit on left which has 4 outlets, one in each bedroom (red circles) and one on wall to go into lounge area (red rectangle).

and a second unit on right with 4 outlets, with 4 outlets, one in master, one in office and one in kitchen (blue circles), and one on wall to go into dining (blue rectangle)

(the sitting room has an existing split system - only air-con in house atm)

i plan on getting a company out to look and quote, but just thinking about it ahead of that

If I order an Analogue 3D console from the US will I get charged GST and import duty?

They are $270 US so about $410 plus shipping.

This website tells me yes and no. Says it will cost about $70 in GST and import duties, then says it won't.

Importing goods internationally of a value less than $1000 AUD?

For goods with a value of AUD$1,000 or less that are imported, there is typically no requirement to pay import duties or taxes. However, this rule does not apply to alcohol or tobacco imports.

Thanks to Gerry ****ing Harvey, yes, you will be charged GST. And the government made sure it is collected at the other end.

you'll have to get the electrics changed wont you? 240v compared with 120v?

Comes with "Worldwide USB-C Power Supply [GaN, PD 3.0, 30W, 100-240v, 50/60hz, USA/JPN plug-type]".

Also games are region free now, so none of the old PAL vs NTSC nonsense that I didn't understand 20 years ago and still don't.

Hate him. Hate his stupid shop. He'd put his own mum out of business if she ran a corner shop and he has the nerve to get on his soap box like he cares about anyone other than himself.

Only time I've ever had to deal with customs etc. was ordering something worth over $1000.
