At work we have a birthday system where you draw someone's name at the start of the year then have to buy them a present valued around $30. The other day while I was shopping I noticed the present that I was given. It cost $15. I don't really give a shit but I know that the person who was my birthday person would voice her objection if it happened to her. Should I just ignore it or say something or maybe just drop a comment in passing that lets her know that I know?

Get her credit card details and buy her a sauce hamper from Chrisco

Ok, we all know it can take days for funds to clear after they're deposited into your bank accounts and the moment you withdraw some it shows up as goneski. What about this - my pay goes in and I can see it there in the morning (via internet banking) and use it on the same day, so I know it's there. However, if I use some or all of it the same day, when I look up my account, the transaction shows up as a debit before my pay was deposited, even if there were no funds before - then it shows the account being in debit. So are banks artificially creating that situation to get out of paying interest (eg, that your average, or however they calculate it, is lower than it really is)? Obviously one account for one day won't make a difference but millions of accounts will.

Can anyone recommend a laptop for a student who doesn't need any frills?

Okay, bit random but does anyone know a store (Inner melb) that you can get decent RC cars/Helicopters
I'm just looking at $150 - $200 but don't want to go through online. Anybody?
There is a hobby store down Swanston St that should be able to sort you out.

Where might one find reasonably priced Kayanos online please?

This is why I don't do KK anymore. Every year putting in effort finding out what people like and spend a bit more than the amount allocated. Only to get some shit necklace that wouldn't cost more than $10 from Louvisa.
