Anyone ever successfully converted foreign coins to AUD? Seems pretty hard, but I reckon I've got 60 bucks or so in euros/kroner.
Currency exchange places dont do coins, only notes. That's why you see heaps of those donation box things in international terminals. Wife and I had same problem coming back from overseas last year. We probably have about $100 in various denominations (Swiss Franc, Euro, Czech Crona etc).

Might be able to sell them on Ebay but I havent looked into it.

Bit of both, usually the band has the final say but the label will speak their mind too.

Work out exactly how much you've got and do it at a backpacker hostel. Put something on a notice board. Doesn't matter if it takes months for someone to respond. It's not like your going anywhere and need it exchanged quickly. Obviously you're looking for people who are heading home soon.

A lot of currency exchange won't take coins in a foreign currency. In fact i don't think I've ever seen one that does... They'll also rip you off anyway.

If we still had the WAFL and SANFL on tier with the VFL, would Bigfooty encampasse them all or would everyone be on separate sites?

i did a semester worth of a uni course about 15 years ago. I have no idea know what the subjects were, but know I passed what i did.

is there anyway I can track down my history, so to speak, so i can find out what subjects ive actually completed?

What makes a good 21st speech? Short and sharp?

Writing one now, have a few things I want to thank my parents for, a couple of things for my girlfriend and some stuff for my best friend. Should I leave it at that, or go further?

Been to a few 21st's now and all of the good speeches have come from the friends and the parents.

I don't think the actual person who has the 21st is meant to be anything spectacular, because 21st speeches are meant to be a mix of awww, cringe and embarrassing moments of birthday person.

Talk a bit about the people speaking (best friend) and parents.

A friend of mine was quite heartfelt when he said that he really was grateful to the people who came to his 21st. I thought that was nice.

Just thank everyone for coming and sharing the night with you and you appreciate it.

Has anyone got iiNet? Or TPG?

Because I want to know the pros and cons of the companies :)

iiNet varies a bit depending on what state you're in, except for their customer service, which is the best you'll find anywhere.

TPG is not too different in terms of broadband quality, possibly a little lower over all, but that's all they do. Very lean business model.

has anyone bought concert/sport tickets from queenoftickets - and if so, are they legit?

Do bands pick which songs become singles or does their recording label?

Bit of both, usually the band has the final say but the label will speak their mind too.

It depends on the size of the band. Local band with distro can do what they like. A huge band like Metallica will rely solely on feedback and management before making any decision.

When it comes to parking at supermarkets and shopping centres where does everyone like to park? At the back away from everyone? Right at the front? In the disabled parks without a permit?

Up the back where there is a bay I can pull straight through and have less chance of anyone parking next to me.

Would have thought the big bands like Metallica, Radiohead, Muse etc. would just do whatever the want? Obviously take a bit of feedback but ultimately it was their decision.

Surely it's the middle of the road bands (commercially MOTR, not MOTR for talent) are the ones who basically have to kowtow to the wishes of music executives?
