Pet hate is when people say things like thisYeah... I legitimately don't know who he is or what major you're speaking of...
No, I flicked on The Project.Pet hate is when people say things like this
You've heard his name. If you didn't hear something related to golf in the seconds before or after you heard his name you're having me on. Also you have Google.
No, I flicked on The Project.
They showed a clip of some mayor of some rural town going on about Jason Day and making a Jason Day Day and then they showed a clip of (presumably) Jason Day with a huge trophy next to him and he said something like his home town wasn't that great.
Didn't really say anything else after that.
So he won a major of golf?

Can someone explain what Jason Day has done that is so great?
With a back story like that he should go on The Voice or MasterchefRE: Jason Day, I think everyone is just stoked for the guy. Father died when he was 12, 8 relatives died in the Philippines typhoon a few years back, gone very close on numerous times to winning a major but not quite got there - most notably a few majors back when he collapsed on course half way through the tournament whilst fighting for the lead (ended up playing the last two rounds with Vertigo), had a lot of personal issues to deal with through his teenage years and come through the other side as one of the genuine good guys in world sport. Every sportsmen has their trials along the way to success but his have been more testing then most.
What's great is a lot of the stories are along the lines of "Finally Day lands his major after going so close so many times" but then you look and see he is only 27 which is not at all old for a golfer. Phil Mickelson won his first at 34 and went on to win five in total.
Sorry, just saw this. Tag me when you're unsuspended. Here's 1 for MEB_ as she works in a H.R. I recently got my first pay for my new job it is done monthly on the 15th 2 weeks in advance and two weeks in arrear. So far I've been paid for a month even though I have only worked 2 weeks I start at the first of the month. Both weeks I have done a bit of overtime which I have put in that wasn't shown on the pay slip is there a chance this would be transferred to next month pay. The week just passed I can understand why it wasn't in because I only handed it in today as I worked today and pay went in yesterday but you think last week's overtime would be in there
He wasn't.Something in bad taste I suppose.
Having browsed Ratten's sons Facebook through a mutual friend, he didn't look like the kindest kid though.
You knew him?He wasn't.
Know some people who knew him through school. You knew him?
His cover photo was about hooning, he's giving the finger and lighting up durries and hitting the tinnies in a lot of his uploaded photos and his gf's farewell status says "I hope you're having a smoke and a beer up in heaven".
I don't think we've lost a 16 year old angel and I think the media outpouring of emotion is hysterical.
I feel sorry for the Ratten family it's a tragedy, but this kid seemed a really unkind person.
It's the perversion of society. Not sure why people are debating things about him. I'm away from the media coverage. Perhaps they are a bigger issue.
From what I know he was kid who did stupid things and unfortunately he lost his life. Doesn't deserve a State funeral or anything but still sad and unfortunate.
