Shadows of the Empire has finally been released on GOG, I tried to play it months ago with a copy I acquired on the high seas but it never worked.

Awesome game, better story. Lucas admitted its a movie he would've made in the 80s but it ended up just being a big "test the waters" type project for interest in Star Wars. It was a hit, followed by the special editions and prequels, and Star Wars has been everywhere ever since, good and bad.

Speaking of old school kids characters

Oscar the Grouch was my favourite as a kid,

When I was universal studios looking to buy some Oscar merch for my son, nothing, absolutely nothing all Elmo big bird some nubs I have never heard of.

I haven't seen a Sesame street episode in like 30 years but have been forced to recently because my son is at that age, so I was looking forward to Oscar telling people to scram but nope they toned him down from a PG rating to a G

So heartbroken.
For some reason I never forgot this insightful message:

Playing Super Star Wars on PS4 which I just bought.

Me: **** this game, it's damn near impossible. Definitely taking me back to those days sitting with my brother playing this on super nintendo learning all new kinds of curse words. ******* arsehole of a game it is. It's pissing me off all over again, piece of shit.

Missus: So you just paid to buy a game that you knew was going to anger you and you think is a piece of shit?

Me: ...

****, got me there.

I'm curious, what is the reasoning for those wanting to get a foot in the property ladder not simply buying a cheap place in that "undesirable" suburb, renting it out and negative gearing, and then actually renting a place where they want to live? You get great rental yields in discounted suburbs like Davoren anyway.

Assuming it's something to do with the satisfaction of living in a place that you own, but just curious..

After reading the old baby boomer/millennials/housing guff I wondered why first time buyers , nowadays, seem to think if they can't buy their ideal home in their ideal suburb with all mod cons the world has somehow ganged up n them to deprive them of their obvoius birth right.

When I got my first house is was in a shitty area, run down and needed TLC but thats what I could afford.
After a couple of years of reno and living in a dump I sold and upgraded.
After a total of 4 moves I got to a house I wanted in a location I wanted.

Property owership has never been easy (well not since I started), houses may appear to have been cheaper but we all earned a crap load less too.
My first mortgage payments were almost 3/4 my takehome pay.

Unless you are rich you start where you can and work up.
80 inch gold plated TVs, rhino leather sofas stuffed with dodo feathers and the latest fully equipped top-of-the-range car need to wait until you can afford them - or, its your choice to rent and blow you money on toys.
