Agree totally with him that reputation seems to carry too much weight with people.

Not sure Bowie has released anything great since the 70's (that track written for Labyrinth certainly doesn't count!). Both U2 and Bowie made outstanding contributions imo. Agreed that later U2 stuff (ie Zooropa onwards) has been ordinary more often than not.

Yeah but the quality of Bowie's work dwarfs anything U2 have done.

Also I like Blink 182 if we're talking about the teenage band and we totally ignore the last two albums which are worthless trash.
