lol @ the Crow girl who got chosen to toss the coin but didnt bring a coin with her. Shows the intelligence of their supporter base right there.

Isnt the coin provided by the umpires?

So the Crows had a poor structure, Walker didn't do much until the end of the game when it was all over, the midfield couldn't use the get out of jail free card of bombing it long with the knowledge that someone was there that could clunk a contested mark...sounds like they indeed were missing Tippett...now they have the same structure as everyone else, with a midfield that apart from Thompson and Dangerfield, doesn't have the class required to go all the way.

If Clangerfield's disposal efficiency was above 20% i'll eat my hat.

It was a little bit higher, but he was still the worse on field by the length of the Flemington straight!

35.3. Ben Jacobs-esque.

You do still have to eat your hat, but at least you can do it with a smile on your face.

He will look something like this:

I'd like to start a collection for the crowbots, a selection of us to donate a 20 cent coin each for them to supply a coin for the toss.

After all, we knew those penalties would hit them hard, but I'm sure none of knew they were now technically insolvent ... ;)

lol at this post by a crow:

"And as an aside, I really hated the commentators 'Pro-Essendon' stance due to the ASADA investigation."

Obviously didn't hear the walker fap fest, dangerfield fap fest, sando fap fest then.

Tom Logan's skills, or lack thereof, ended his chance for a career. The new rule just took away his last remaining asset - the kamikaze nature.

then the ump said pick a hand behind your back and she let the bombers win a easily riggable choice.

Nah, I hate that rule.
The rule is caused by people running in recklessly head first to draw cheap free kicks. It's there to stop the car crash ACL's, broken legs, and knee cap/joint dislocations caused from people diving on the ball in an attempt to cause a free kick for themselves.

No matter how soft the free kick may look, it's to keep our players on the park.

You're taught to go in to protect your body and keep your feet, by turning your body and using your hips. Not dive on the ball to get a cheap weak free-kick.

I like the rule.

It brings the old keep your feet mantra back in vogue. It's now more than ever about core strength over the ball, a real battle. Not who can win the free kick the fastest.

It will also stop head injuries. With the concussion discussion that has being going on, it would be sensible to look at areas where players are recklessly putting their head in dangerous situations. As much as this may protect leg injuries, I think the AFL is looking to cover themselves from future law suits. Refer back to players like Tom Logan, how many of his head knocks have come from diving head first into packs?
It's a sensible rule to prevent concussions, though I think it at this at times will be silly. The goal the Crowy give away last night seemed ridiculous.
