I hope everyone bloody left them there.
Many did, many did not unfortunately.

There are plenty of photos of clogged up toilets etc. But as with any freebie, you have those who love crp like that and embraced it.

However it was a turning point for many reluctant reds as they saw the level of manipulation. A pre-cursor to next seasons kit fiasco.

We used to hav the most militant support going but it has been diluted by those who have jumped on board with our recent successes who only care about premier league football.

Thats what happens when the show makes him out to be this perfect boy-king and his darling wife instead of how its portrayed in the books.

Interesting. My wife (non-book reader) said good riddance to three annoying characters (only the wolf got sympathy). If they'd made Robb and especially Cat less perfect like the books I think it would have been more of an impact.

Still WTFing after watching it. Mrs Manu so annoyed at the end she said she never wanted to watch the show again! lol

My missus was like that after watching the first series and then reading the first two books. She was just starting to get back into it, so a fair bit of catching up, this may destroy it though when she does.

That David Lloyd story still makes me laugh and wince in equal measures.

Things that make Englishmen grimace...

There's a piece on the press websites today about the 20th anniversary of Hollywood's 'Ball of the Century.'
Coincidentally I attended the AGM at the Hong Kong Cricket Club last week and Mike Gatting, Patron of the Club, was there, gladhanding like the fine chap he actually is.
(Rumour has it he likes to take quick singles on Lockhart Road, so he regularly visits Hong Kong to discharge his patronal responsibilities.)

The coffee shop at the HKCC is called Spinners. It's named in honour, I'd reckon, of the late Benny Kwong Wo, who was the groundsman's son at the Club, grew up on the premises, went out to the nets as a kid and learnt, of all things, to bowl leg spin.
I'm honoured to say I played in the HKCC Scorpions with Benny for several seasons in the 1980s, during which we won the local League twice. His right-arm wrong 'un could be so brilliant that he once clean bowled Bobby Simpson - visiting Hong Kong with an Australian All Stars side in 1975 - shouldering arms.
I've always said that a blown-up photo of that ball should be on the wall facing the entrance of Spinners, but as yet we've not been able to find such a photo.

Another photo that could temporarily occupy its cherished spot on that wall would be one of Mike Gatting losing his off stump to a nobody called Warne at Old Trafford in 1993. I can picture the look on Mike's face, again, on his next visit to the Club, walking into Spinners for a coffee and seeing that.
Something else for me to work on.

I was just trying to be nice and not post the highlights of the 76 GF!

Go your hardest, didn't include the mighty Red and Black.
