Has that Schapelle Corby docu-drama been on yet? I saw the ad for it. I almost cringed through the crack between the couch cushions..seriously..What the actual f%$@?? Australian Tv at it's finest?

Now the Michelle Leslie docu-drama, that I'd watch.

Great chilli two nights ago but the ring burn is one hell of a reminder

Any NRL fans in here?

Im going to be picking up one of these.

I'm not exactly sure what the fit is like though. In normal t-shirts I'd be a 2XL/3XL. In the ISC retail Guernseys I fit well in a 4XL. I havent got a massive stomach but I'm not exactly the fittest lad on the block, and I also have rather wide shoulders/chest. Im also about 6'2" / 6'3"

Any tips on what size I should be looking at? Cheers.

Was 16c* for a pasty and a kitchener (capitalise?) bun just as I finished primary school.

Ah the Kitchener bun...!

Used to race for home down Magill Road on my bike from Norwood High (1960-63) on Friday afternoons...
Mum would have four in the cake-bin; I'd have two straight away... two later.

Named after a British Army top-dog with a big moustache who died at sea - went down off Jutland from memory in 1916 on his way to tell the Tzar why the Russian armed forces were so much crap.

First bite - the real cream and real jam in the K bun would ooze out the sides and hang down like a plum-red and white moustache. That's why I thought they were called 'Kitchener'. (Something for Google and, yes, the Random Thoughts thread.)

Stop it. Just stop it...I can taste one now. :) Do they still make them in South Oz? And matchsticks and honey logs and sponge kisses...

You do see them around sometimes, but the only similarity to what we used to buy is the name. Otherwise, a pale imitation, I'm afraid. Probably best to avoid the present day version and just enjoy the memories. ;)

After nearly 30 years in FNQ, memories are all I have...and finger buns with pink icing which is all the bakery have...now I am being driven insane by thoughts of kitchener buns. Damn you Lochart Rd...damn you to hades

Ate one as a challenge once, instant diabetes if you eat two. Tasteless apart from sugar.

Agreed. Some people have this weird nostalgic attachment to those little sugar grenades, but I want to vomit just thinking about them.

Easily the worst South Aussie invention since complaining about progress.

Even worse than the 'Franchise'?

NRL stuff usually fits to size. A 2xl will be how you expect it to be. They don't tend to be skin tight like AFL.

Just saw the New York Giants' Justin Tuck on the Colbert report. Wish I could find a picture online that shows him to scale. It's like someone welded Alipate Carlile on top of another Alipate Carlile. 6'5" but bloody hell, the muscle!

After all the talk of Kitchener Buns and all things SA on another thread I started thinking of my childhood in SA and wondered about whatever happened to YOYO biscuits.
I looked up on the web and they have only ever been made and sold in SA. I loved them sandwiched with butter; might have to get a few packs next time there so I can share the experience with my kids.
