Nothing is like Dr Strangelove but there was another good nuclear brinksmanship movie in The Bedford Incident.

Wanted to see what people thought of the new series Crossbones - the trailers look decent. Found possibly the worst review I've ever seen, and I've deliberately looked at the lowest ratings of some very good movies.

Yeah its sounding pretty crappy. I might check out black sails though.

I don't really like John Malkovich. I think his voice/mannerisms are too recognisable so all I see in his characters is John Malkovich. Similar to Owen Wilson (who is obviously a much lesser actor in general).

Das Boot is an incredible movie, as is Stalingrad.
Still haven't had the time to see Downfall (well apart from that scene)

You must make time, though the memes will take away some of the impact.

three d (the real triple m) is still the only listenable radio station in adelaide. thursday mornings are pretty good and smash it up has been going for years in the afternoon.

The blues show on a Thursday night is quality. I'm not sure on 'Old man reading slightly amusing news articles' on Saturday mornings though.

An interesting comparison, the Clash one is a garage punk statement of the collateral costs of war, the bottom one is a rap/pop item based on the beat of the top one but lyrically based on the writers cultural surroundings. Neither would purposely reside in my collection although I do have a couple of Clash songs or so. Which one is best? One cancels out the other is my answer

Rodney Clavell has offed himself after a 10+ hour stand-off with the cops.

Easily the best show going around at the moment.

Mad men, but yea Fargo is pretty good.
