lol, he demanded a radio and the cops said no, then he wanted to distribute videos of the hostages to the media, and the media said no, now he wants to get it put on the internet.

How good is that? The media want nothing to do with him aside from what the cops release, and the cops are not giving him the time of day. This is an excellent example of professionalism and preparation in the event of a terror act at it's finest.

It's obvious he wants to release videos of the hostages to instill terror and fear. Everyone is just like *yawn*. He must be getting pretty mad though.

What I will tell you is its a lot worse than the media and police are letting on. There have been facebook posts from the hostages citing the demands etc, also youtube videos which have been removed, but here is a cap. It's legit. I blurred the face.

Also, the two arrests made today in anti-terror raids are related, and the fellow arrested near lindt at the start of the siege was a relation of the gunman, supposed to be multiple operations by the separate brothers, but the cops nabbed them. So it's gone sour for this one guy. Genuinely fear for the remaining hostages now.

Bang - police just admitted to what I mentioned. The other arrests were linked after previously denying it. Seems now the videos are out they can't hide it anymore. The demand for an IS flag is the scary point of interest here, they want to behead someone and drape them in the IS flag, a hostage who was holding the IS flag to the window motioned to police a slitting of the throat gesture.

The hostages mentioned in the videos about bombs at circular quay and two other places I don't recall (since the videos have been removed.)

Fell asleep on the couch TV was on and wole up about a minute before the 7 hostages made a run for it. Then the cops moved in after a loud bang and the cops went bang. Woke me up.Sounds like when the 8 hostages got away the gunman shot a hostage - panicked.

The "fake shiek" was a nutcase - out on bail on accessory to the murder of his ex wife and 40 sex assult charges - plus he was the nut case who wrote lettters to families of digg ers who died. One of his lawyers was high profile Chris Murphy. His lawyers and the judge who gave him bail need to go into the room of mirrors.

And **** me all 3 stations covering this live speak shit filling up space and padding. Some dumb irrelevant cliche driven crap was spoken

Eventhough Ch7's new studio in Martin Place was shut down the cops position themselves there and got 7 cameramen to film the Lindt Cafe across the road. 7 have some of the best footage as a result and veteran reporter Chris Reason was in the building so when the siege was over they crosed to him

eventhough I bagged some of the dill talking heads on ABC 7 and 9, sounds like the media were pretty responsible in not allowing the media to be used as pawns. The nutcase got hostages to ring TV stations and demand to be put to air and TV stations refused to air the calls or tell the public of the calls.

Things have changed andooks like the media and cops now work in unison not like 10-20-30 years ago when TV and radio would air interviews with gunmen.

It wasnt one it was 7 and no different to the 3+2 that got away yesterday. Supposedly the nutter moved the hostages around and then split them into 2 groups and one of those groups ended up next to the door. They had shear terror on their face There is nothing for that group of 7 to feel guilty about.

Commissioner Scipione said 17 hostage. Looks like it was 5 that escaped yesterday, 7 at 2am - 3 injured and sent to hospital and 2 who died. But he also said 6 were uninjured - which makes 23 to me. As I was typing this there is a report that one person died from a heart attack - which ties in with original report of 2 dead - hostage+gunmen - dead and the an hour lated in changed to 3.

Totally agree.

But you can't fix it. Hell there are still Mormons in Utah with 30 wives and 100 kids. There will always be that radical fringe of religion that just won't live in the modern world. Hopefully our security services keep a very close eye on these Islamic religious loonies. And for police and DOCS to keep a very close eye on those Christian religious loonies.
