You blokes ever talked face to face to a real live girl?
...played through Oblivion a few months ago and it was awesome.
Ditch the main story. From what I remember the guilds in Oblivion are a lot better than the main story and a lot better than the guilds in Skyrim...
I bought Oblivion again in a Steam sale a few months back, put another 60 hours into it...didn't even get to start the DLC's again, Shivering Isles is fun
Is Skyrim anything like WoW?
I almost bought Skyrim yesterday but I'm not sold on what I've seen so far.
Yeah, but the boob physics were shit. You blokes ever talked face to face to a real live girl?

Yeah, but the boob physics were shit.
Completely different raison d'etres, WoW favours the grind and social (lol) aspect. With an Elder Scrolls game the focus is more on exploring and story, done at your own pace.Is Skyrim anything like WoW?

It has all the traits of a game I'd enjoy. Maybe I'll give it another go.Completely different raison d'etres, WoW favours the grind and social (lol) aspect. With an Elder Scrolls game the focus is more on exploring and story, done at your own pace.
I'd be more inclined to recommend you Dragon Age: Origins tbh, since it's a spiritual successor to some great classic RPGs, the systems are probably more familiar to a WoW player. Plus the story and characters are infinitely better. I can't remember 3 characters from Skyrim. It has all the traits of a game I'd enjoy. Maybe I'll give it another go.
I've been meaning to get into some fantasy rpgs. Played a lot of runescape too as a young teenager.I'd be more inclined to recommend you Dragon Age: Origins tbh, since it's a spiritual successor to some great classic RPGs, the systems are probably more familiar to a WoW player. Hell yeah, I spent far too much of my childhood playing Runescape.I've been meaning to get into some fantasy rpgs. Played a lot of runescape too as a young teenager.
GTAV has all my attention currently though. The new heists missions are a good reason to jump back on since they're pretty much given away $$$ and improved functionality ten fold.
I tried it again recently. It's far too easy to make heaps of cash, I lost interest after 2 weeks.Hell yeah, I spent far too much of my childhood playing Runescape.
Runescape was the only thing I really played in my primary school days outside of the PS2 (mostly Gran Turismo), then I played the hell out of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. After than I migrated to PC and played the living shit out of Counter Strike Source then League of Legends.I tried it again recently. runescape was third in my video game major obsession phase.... (which continues today).
First was Gran Turismo, followed by Star Wars, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and then RS, WoW and GTA.
I was on GTA Online with this American bloke yesterday who was 58, had a mic and was very high level. That's the kind of old bloke I feel I'll become.
With my boyish good looks and rugged charm the ladies talk to me ....You blokes ever talked face to face to a real live girl?
Lot of mates were into Halo, I couldn't get into it. I played COD on mac for years until I learnt how to play fps with joysticks on PSN which has saved my gaming life.Runescape was the only thing I really played in my primary school days outside of the PS2 (mostly Gran Turismo), then I played the hell out of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. The only new game I've bought since probably Skyrim is FIFA 15. I just can't be bothered anymore.
I did stay up quite a bit but no competitive - mostly my familiar jailbreak an surf servers on Source which at their peak had tight knit communities with some really awesome, funny people. Some nights I'd wake the 'rents up cackling uncontrollably. I sorely miss that part of gaming.Lot of mates were into Halo, I couldn't get into it. A different mate used to play counter strike in the city for competition. He introduced me to high voltage energy drinks and we ended up playing until 4am. We worked together in an office and would crawl into work at 8 each day to feed our caffeine addictions. Those were the days!
I dunno, I guess it's the easiest pick up and play game I have - since I've only got a PC for gaming it's easy to smash out a game or two compared to an FPS where I have to sit there at the desk and use the mouse and keyboard, or an RPG where you really focus more and spend more time on it, I just can't be bothered. I have a wireless 360 dongle which means I can use the controller with my computer so i just lay back and play FIFA for that - a perfect lazy time killer. What did you like about FIFA? I bought it recently but only play it with friends when they come round.

Half the reason don't play online games anymore. The really cool semi obscure Source communities faded away, admins stopped paying for servers and people just moved on from video games, then the new CS came out...I have the same experience with FIFA.
It's hard to find anyone online these days that aren't preteen or Mexican...... regarding gaming of course... that's gonna read wrong to so many.
My gaming life took a dive recently...
I get into borderlands 2 ...which is probably in my top 5 games ever played

League of Legends has the worst people ever too - no grasp of subtlety and generally just having a good time. Only serious business and winning the game or complete trolls who spout awful 4chan/reddit memes.
I have it in my Steam library, but only played a few minutes...just seemed a bit cartoony
I played my fair share of WoW, a number of years even. However that and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory were the only online games I play really, I had excellent times there, probably some of the funniest times of my life. However now, I can't stand the communities because generally you are dealing with social misfits and passive aggressive kids with mummy/daddy problems. So as a result, I only play single player games - which is a shame because there are genuinely great people in multi games, but it's impossible to wade through the steaming piles of human manure that make up player bases these days. The second thing regarding single player games is that these days, companies don't bother so much with single player and are extremely focused on online aspects and because of this, the single player campaigns are super short, and extremely poor quality.
Lastly...DLC, ******* piss off. Release a game that is relatively bug free with plenty of content instead of charging premium prices for the initial buggy as **** game, then expecting further cash for DLC.
A long time mate of mine works for Dice in Sweden. EA (the publisher) are astronomically awful and push for unrealistic release dates, don't care about quality control and are the gaming equivalent of box movers. Sadly to everyone who is interested, he admits that he feels star wars battlefront (which he is working on) is catastrophically awful. Looks great, but the game is genuinely bad, and it's extremely buggy and on release it will be a pile of shit (what a surprise, seems to be the trend).
"Release first patch later", get stuffed.
