Anyone here been playing Metal Gear Solid V???

I actually don't like the metal gear games.

Don't let the Kurt Russel Escape from New York fool you, it's anime wrapped in an all American skin. More (something asain) than Rambo.

Gameplay is alright but the themes and setting put me off.

I love this... he was a skeptic about this stuff all his life, until he had this experience like a quarter of the way into his life.

The town of Kapunda hates Warwick Moss almost as much as J-Downs

hahahaha

To this day "I'll give you a ride!" chills me to my feet.

Hahaha holy shit! My sisters and I used to say "I'll give you a ride" all the time when we were younger. **** this has opened up a massive can of nostalgia.

That kid's only 15, remember. He could still end 6'2 or 6'3 and play football at a high level. Probably not basketball though unless he's insanely talented.

I hope his skill level and sports intelligence is pretty outrageous, because he's going to find that when he gets to the professional level in US sport, everyone is a freakish athlete. You need to be a freakish athlete to get in the door. What sets apart the professionals regulars and champions is how the understand the game and how well they are able to apply that knowledge.

Dyertribe's public return was all the rage just as I signed up for BigFootball. The Crows board was in full damage control mode despite it being the worst kept secret in the world of internet football discussion.

My god that organisation struggles to hold onto talent.

Dude is 175cm and has probably stunted his growth (if that second hand knowledge which afaik might aswell be bullshit is true) by training since such a young age. How many athletes succeed in sports like basketball or football in the US at that height?
Short running backs are a bonus as long as they are strong.

Ok. Just catching up from my 'holiday'.

1. That 'I'll give you a ride story'... Freaked me out and we were banned from watching the extraordinary after that. I'd totally forgot about it until recently when watching the James Bond movie with Telly in it and then had some crazy flashback.

2. Tribey used to be a Crows supporter? Lol.

My doctor mate sent me this:

"In theatre today one of the orthopaedic surgeons got the shits with some equipment and he yelled at it "**** you!!! **** you with....a jam sandwich!!!" Clearly swearing doesn't come naturally to him."

Kiwis will beat us to a new flag and a republic. Not sure about the 4 choices the Panel made but if anyone of them gets up it will never get confused with an Oz flag again.

https://www.govt.nz/browse/engaging-with-government/the-nz-flag-your-chance-to-decide/

Here are the four flag designs that eligible voters will rank in the first binding postal referendum this year, between 20 November and 11 December.

The winner then is pitched against the existing flag in the second bidding referendum in March 2016

The 4 came from this group of 39 after 10,292 alternative designs suggested to the Panel.

The twirl symbol in Maori is called a Koru - The black and white one selected of the 4 is explained at;
https://www.govt.nz/browse/engaging...-chance-to-decide/the-four-alternatives/koru/

Koru
Designer's description
As our flag unfurls, so too does its koru. The koru represents the fern frond, but is also reminiscent of a wave, a cloud, and a ram’s horn. In Māori kowhaiwhai patterns the koru represent new life, growth, strength and peace, and for this reason has taken a special place in Aotearoa’s visual language.

1 or 3 for me, but I reckon the original will win, which is shit.
If you want the original you vote for the ugliest of the options then nobody will want to change the old one for it in the second vote.

I like 1 and 4.

#3 all the way.

Would elevate the kiwi flag to one of, if not the, coolest flag in the world.
