I have always wanted to play NOLF, the studio that has bought System Shock 2 and a few other old pc game back to life (Night Dive Studios iirc) tried very hard but in the end got stuffed around by a few parties and the true rights holder is now lost to history and as a consequence a good game cannot be legally released.

Yeah NOLF was awesome. I hired both of 'em back in the day from Civic Video. I wish I had owned them though. It sucks you can't buy 'em them any more due to that shit with the right holders (or lack thereof).

Still one of my favourite games ever, and the best game to be made of either or both franchises. Horrible underrated and still stands up today!

Definitely on of my favourites too. It's the only AvP game where all three species were awesome to play.
Predator was my favourite though, nothing beats cloaking and then messing up some marines.

A plasma cannon to the head and turning it in to a bloody stump never got old.

Also the Marine's had a great selection of weapons from both franchises equally, a perfect balance.

Back to the predator though, the disc and net gun also kicked arse. I hated the infrared vision though, obscured everything and made depth perception impossible.

I found the boxes for both AvP2, and it's expansion in my shed earlier this year, I might have to go get them, see if they work on Windows 7.

Well I think I've finally broke the Bigfoot alert system.

I posted a picture a little while ago in the port mega store thread where I had over 9000 alerts, it was up to about 13000 and now it's ticked over to 344 and it is going down by 1 or 2 a day.

Brutal.

Absolutely blew my strategy. I had planned to aim for about 33-35 minutes for the first 6km then power home over the last 5k or so, but I got totally caught up by the runners at the start and went out way too hard. I kept looking at my watch and telling myself to slow down but so many people were passing me at that stage that that I didn't adequately hold myself back.

I was gassed at about the 5km mark and ended up finishing well outside my target time in 1:12.

Good fun though, I definitely learned a lot!
