Die Hard is all-f@%king-time. Shame the series became less John McClane/more Bruce Willis action hero with each sequel. Talk about DH6 being a prequel with a young Det. McClane running around Noo Yawk in 1979...

Problem was all the die hard sequels felt the need to try to top the stunts.

Just give us a good movie with some action.

This is pretty cool ...

Taylor makes history
England international Sarah Taylor makes history by becoming the first woman to play men's grade cricket in Australia ....
**** district clubs, just another example of promoting local talent.

Women in Mens Cricket hmmm it'll end in tears, broken bones eventually

I'm on the other side, I reckon there is no reason why women can't compete in men's cricket. It would mainly just take some adjustment to men's bowling. These chicks are pretty tough.

Let's say Gillespie, Lee, McGrath, Johnson all in their prime firing in at the worlds best female batter.. tears & broken bones.

There would need to be some innovations in protective clothing I think but nothing about reaction times, timing, mental toughness and ability to cope with pain is particularly male-centric.

I was walking home after my daily lifting heavy metallic objects and putting them down again, and I found ******* Hitler!

**** we had a cat just like that years ago on our farm. Well, it wasn't ours it was a friendly stray that used to catch enormous hares and leave them on the doorstep as gifts and also it used to sleep standing up, leaning against a wall like a human. We called it Hitler of course

A woman ain't making runs against an elite fiery super quick male bowler period so what's the point?

No different to when they bowl to men then.

Sales opportunity for a whole new category of sports equipment and relatively all-covering clothing - to the middle east, for one thing.

There is absolutely no physiological reason women couldn't play in mens cricket. Saying anything to the contrary is severely underrating modern women.

Same goes for soccer.

Grade cricket is stuffed anyway... Too many teams, and too many blokes playing A Grade that aren't good enough.
Yeah. I've played at a turf club all my life, few years back when we were playing A ones our skip at the time, who'd played for SA, said we would've comfortably accounted for most district sides. Shocked me a bit.

They can play cricket with males, hit n' giggle in park cricket

I agree from a batting perspective but I don't think any would be able to make it as frontline bowlers at the highest level. Fast bowling is reliant on strength and speed and almost all women would be outgunned by their male counterparts in this area.

Physically no reason. At the highest level the extra strength of men for hitting to or over the boundary and the extra height / strength for fast bowling would preclude them in reality from most on-field roles (top 6/7 plus fast bowlers are usually 10 and 11), but no reason a spinner or wicket keeper at the highest level couldn't be a woman.

Soccer the skills can be as good, but at that elite level men do have the physical edge (women's times are less at all distances for running). And height is an advantage (within reason and if not accompanied by a loss of speed).

I'd put it like Women's vs Men's tennis. Both can be equally good to watch, but even the top 10 women's players would struggle against players 80-100 in the Men's rankings.

I agree with the spinners and keepers observation, and I'd also argue that women could also make it as dedicated batspeople (?) as well.
