So if we're allowed to discuss movies that aren't complete trash for a second - The Revenant is MOTY, definitely lives up to the hype. Now I'm wishing I waited to see it at the cinemas.
DVD Screener season huh noticed The Revenant floating around, it hasn't even opened anywhere on earth yet lol jeez that's early. Creed screener is calling my name for some reason.... Yo Adonis I'm a Pirateer

I'm not sure that's the case in regards to Rey.

Obviously force sensitivity is hereditary, but there were obviously other force users about that weren't involved in the saga.

Snoke, for example.

Also, having another "omg X is Y's father" in this series would be overkill, but hey, so was the 3rd death star.
Snoke, for example.

Is most likely a similar age and physical stature to Yoda who watches over the darkside.

Could be, it's tough to tell

He was definitely alive during the time of the original trilogy though. So where did he come from? How did he manage to swoop in so easily? Is he a Sith? Kylo Ren isn't.

Looking forward to having some of these questions answered, but I guess my point is Rey's force sensitivity doesn't have to have come from anywhere interesting.

It's also interesting seeing R2D2 only waking up in the presence of Rey after she gets to the rebel base

My car has a 70L fuel tank, but I just went to fill up and was able to put 70.5L in. Plus the few litres that were still in the tank before filling up.

Am I missing something?

The more he tried to develop the story the more he shat in Star Wars' shoes and forced it to wear them. Disney and JJ have made Star Wars, Star Wars again.

No way, the change to the story he made up on the fly during Empire improved the story tenfold and made it an instant classic, so what if it is inconsistent with a line or 2 of dialogue in the previous films.

Either way I don't see how it is prequels fault in this specific instance.

Noo .. you're supposed to watch The Revenant in the cinema. Viewing the movie with screener quality does injustice to Emmanuel Lubezki's cinematography!
Between this, Beasts of No Nation and the new Mad Max it's been a great year.

They all have that feel that not many movies do these days, hard to explain, Apocalypse Now-ish where the atmosphere just sucks you in. Shot in harsh conditions, no shortcuts or green screens, only natural lighting in the case of The Revenant. The actors are actually put to work and you can feel it in their performance. Watching The Revenant and BoNN is exhausting.

The prequels fail because Anakin's motivation was that Obi Wan caused him to convert to the dark side because he wouldn't let him go out and party. He literally had no plausible motivation to become evil other than he felt like it.

Did Rey have the lightsaber on her at that point? Must have been that, rather than Rey's presence.

If anyone got through more than half an hour of "The Ridiculous 6" on netflix you deserve a medal... Adam Sandler movies straight to netflix from now on is probably a good thing though

Yeah that's something i didn't enjoy
Since when can droids be force sensitive
At the very least they are sentient so maybe that has something to do with it. Also the Force has always been kinda ambiguous.

If so it did call to her, specifically, because she had some connection to it. I still think she's related to the Skywalker's in some way because Star Wars is like that.
I think it she might have been training with Luke before Ren killed everyone. Perhaps she was hidden in Jakku to protect her and had her memory wiped ala Revan in KOTOR. Then the connection the lightsaber has with the Force and Luke has awakened her memory and the Force in her.

He developed unusually strong personal bonds due to his late start to Jedi training and attachment to his mother and the fear of losing his love caused him to be played by Palpatine as he believed he could learn the power to save her. He though the Jedi were holding him back from learning this power.

Also, yes, Obi-Wan didn't let him party. He had to go search for that bounty hunter while Obi went to the bar and had a drink.

I like the idea that she's similar to Luke in the way that she was an adult before being formally introduced to the force whereas Kylo Ren and Anakin both started really young and were easily seduced by the power of the darkside over light.

Apart from the shitty dialogue in the Prequels.
Hayden Christiansen [Anakin teen/adult actor] is just a shit actor.

They couldn't of picked a worse actor
He is bland and never makes his character seem believable in any movie he is in.

I re-watched III earlier last week and genuinely felt bad for Ewan Mcgregor, he acted is ass off and was surrounded by cardboard boxes that didn't make the cut.

They cast young Obi so well in my opinion but all he had to work with was shit dialogue, shit actors and CGI.

Mcgregor was the high point of the prequels in my opinion but he really shouldn't of been, I watched the movies because I wanted to see how Vader came to be.

However all we got was an angsty badly acted teen so Mcgregor had to carry all 3 movies.

Had to strap his shoulders tighter than Juddy did at Carlton.
