Ugh. Timmy Spielberg. An acquired taste.

He actually put his own opening to TFA online the other day. Like he did with his take on the big Han v Kylo Ren scene. Both are f@%king awful.

Rewriting Kasdan, lol...

I still haven't got around to watching TFA since it's home release. Maybe the 4 goes at the movies done the trick, but still, I thought I would have by now. Since I got the blu-ray on the first day, I've probably watched and rewatched a dozen movies already seen, but not that.

My biggest gripe will probably still be Fin and his defection for no real reason other than killing is bad, followed up with his don't think twice killing of any Stormtrooper that wanders in to his sights hey guys I'll show you how to blow up a whole planet. There's absolutely no depth to any character in that movie bar Luke Skywalker. In one minute he displays more depth and emotional turmoil than any of them. Runner up would be Kylo, the baddie.

The novella and comics seem to be necessary reading for you. I read them after I saw the film and they fleshed out the characters a little (not too well mind).

Yeah, my gripe is more with how she's kinda just not that likeable. I mean every protagonist is somehow great at stuff they shouldn't be in movies. What it is. But I wish she was just more effortless in personality rather than being so stiff and witless. Lol at how he calls her "John Cena" though. Well memed.

She actually plays the character very well. You're actually not meant to like her. She doesn't want you to like her. She's a hermit, living by herself, relying on herself. If she's personable, that means she might end up caring about someone other than herself...and then that person might disappear like her family did.

She's all the things you describe because she's someone who was abandoned on a desert planet and has never seen anything other than junk as valuable - everything is a new experience for her. If you notice in that crap filler scene with the Rathtars, Finn grabs her hand just like he did on Jakku with no objections from her because she IS actually scared.

She's stiff and witless the same way you or I would be in that situation - a fish out of water :)

Just watched Kingsman, holy ****, how did that fly under my radar when it was in cinemas?

The adventures of chav bond. :D

It is a decent movie though, i think there is another couple in the pipeline.

Oscar Isaac is probably the best thing about that movie, simply because he is a charismatic actor with on screen presence.

Followed up by Adam drivers angry at my parents you don't understand me emo kid act, which is almost laughable at times but at least interesting.

It's just the universe that we love that pulls us in.

Still miles head of the prequels.

Really looking forward to rogue one though. Glad they have moved away from green screen studios and into real locations because rogues action on locations looks amazing.

I found her likeable. Not caring about others though to distance or protect herself? i strongly disagree. As someone alone on a harsh planet eking out a living She refused like a years worth of food rations for a droid she had just met?

But as someone posted in a video you kinda just become a bit disgusted with how easily she does everything. Like what is even the point of training for years and becoming a Jedi master if someone can do it in ten seconds? It makes everything a zero sum total. Nothing means anything because you can be born with everything you need or acquire it in ten seconds of concentration. It almost entirely ruins the whole concept of the universe and jedis for me. All I can think is that they will spend the next episode backtracking where all of a sudden even though she acquired all those Jedi skills and defeated kylo easily the first time she picked up a light sabre she will suddenly become shitter, despite training with Luke, kylo will become better and they will have a battle where kylo wins. And I'll be like wtf, the Jedi secret is not to be actually trained by Luke what so ever because you become shit.
