The novella and comics seem to be necessary reading for you. I read them after I saw the film and they fleshed out the characters a little (not too well mind).

Shouldn't be necessary. A movie of that scale should be able to accomplish some semblance of character.

**** sake, the highly maligned George Lucas could do it.

Oscar Isaac is probably the best thing about that movie, simply because he is a charismatic actor with on screen presence.


Followed up by Adam drivers angry at my parents you don't understand me emo kid act, which is almost laughable at times but at least interesting.

It's just the universe that we love that pulls us in.



Still miles head of the prequels.


Really looking forward to rogue one though. Glad they have moved away from green screen studios and into real locations because rogues action on locations looks amazing.

Disagree, better than I and II, but III still has TFA covered. TFA is on par with Jedi to me.

Undoubtedly the moment where the movie crossed the rubicon of awesomeness.

It is a decent movie though, i think there is another couple in the pipeline.

I loved it, as far as modern action flicks designed to be family friendly, it wiped the floor with Deadpool. Not sure if it needs sequels though, it's such a good self contained movie, but that's the movie industry I guess.

Your father in law/uncle keeps inviting your wife's ex to family events but that doesn't mean we have to make an Olympic sport of you and your nerd mates putting on chain mail every weekend and 'playing' so you can win the approval of your father in law/ uncle. Maybe put in some weekend work at the job he gave you. We already have our quota of useless shit sports that won their place in the olympics.

That depends on your opinion of world building and franchising.

The films stand up on their own, the books and comics add some depth.
