I was given a small sample jar at a wine event I went to earlier this year. I thought, "I like lots of jams and I like bacon, how bad could this be?" Took one taste and threw the jar straight in the bin. Truly awful.

1974 they came out here for their second tour (their first in Adelaide was at Thebby with Status Quo as the support act) after releasing Old, New, Borrowed and Blue and they played at Memorial Drive.
The competition asked when did Slade tour SA last? So I put in an entry and won (I think Helen Woods may have been the co-compere at that time).
Asked a mate of mine to come along with me, his brother drove us in and picked us up. I think a band called Tomlin may have been the support act but of this I am not 100% sure (I did see them supporting someone at Memorial Drive).
The first Slade concert at Thebby was the first I had attended (inside the gates) without my parents (I did see The Searchers and Petula Clark in Nottingham around 1965).

I had some with Jatz and cheese and it's sickly sweet with soggy chunks of bacon, you're lucky i paid $6.50 for the jar.
A sweet bacon can be delicious, i have made baked maple syrup bacon before and it was awesome but bacon jam is utter foulness.
I assume the shows themselves were of the highest quality
