I don't know if it's just me, But for some reason whenever we wear the Red Strip we don't play as well as normal. In the games this year and last all the red strip games have been scrappy and we've only just won or played ok and probaly should have won but haven't!

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've only really taken notice the last 2 away games against Blues and Dees, what were we wearing against Brissie and the Bulldogs?

Against Brissie we wore our home, against Bullies our 'regular away'.

Other notable games we've worn the red...

Against Richmond last year, and against freo this year...

we probably lose because the gurnsey is so bad. lol. the players are more keen to take it off then to play the game.

You have to admit it is really bad

I like it as an alternative "clash" strip.....:thumbsu:

Offering a jumper as an excuse for performance (negative or otherwise) is as weekminded as our performance against Melbourne and similarly has no basis of logic.

Excuses is a currency we and our club should not be dealing in

Any club that uses their jumper or lack of jumper as an excuse for poor crowds or poor performances has already taken their eyes off the prize

Excuses is a currency we and our club should not be dealing in

Who was blaming the jumper?

We're still allowed to discuss coincidences, right oh great leader?

I hate wearing the red strip. I read an article before the Richmond game last year saying the percentages of teams in red winning. Went through quite a few impressive stats like Chicago Bulls, Man United, Ferrari etc. We then dished up the performance against the Tigers and ever since when ever I have seen us play in that bloody red strip we seem to play rubbish football.

wow - taking things to heart a little........attention issues ?

Hmm, im not the one who ran into an otherwise light hearted thread ranting about not making excuses.

You've changed since your name went green man. You're just part of the machine now. :p

I'm not blaming the loss on the jumper I just think it's a bit weird that all the...erm not very good games we've played in the last 2 years we were wearing the red strip haven't really been all that flash hot!

and nor am I the one who directed any comment towards you......yet you felt compelled to make it about you.

;)

I believe that we also played in it v Melbourne at Carrara last year? We only just scraped over the line then thanks to the great NVB :thumbsu:. Body on the line stuff. And I mean the guy that was coming up to try and bring the great man down. ;)
