I'm pumped guys. Take a look at the spine. All the key positions are held by players 23 years old or under. This is undoubtedly the Baby Magpies. And there is a chance for something special. Something that will be remembered for all time.

This is my message to the players.

More than 90,000 fans will pack into the ground tonight....millions more will watch at home. It means something to each and every person.

This is what every players busts his gut for. If winning this game doesn't mean anything to you...then kindly step aside because we have guys like Medhurst, Fraser, Lockyer and Goldsack who have bled for the jumper yet lost their spot for you.

It is an honour, priviledge and testament to your ability that you run out onto the field tonight. Yet, it has been a thrill to watch you all year. You have brought joy to the biggest fanbase in the land.

If we have 22 committed players run out onto the field tonight, we will win. The beauty and curse of a team-sport is that it only takes 1 to spoil it for everyone. If every single player refuses to shirk a contest, refuses to run out of puff, refuses to allow his opponent any freedom and refuses to give in....then we will win.

If all 22 can say at the conclusion of the match that we gave 150% and still lost, then so be it. However, that won't be the case. If all 22 can honestly say they did not have anything left to give...then we will be marching as 1 into a Grand Final next week.

Yes, we face the best side in the comp over the last 4 years. However, we wouldn't want it any other way. We lift for the good teams. We hunt the good teams. Our best footy is played in front of big crowds, against the teams people don't expect us to beat.

People say Geelong's best is better than ours. That is not true. We came first, we have beaten everyone in the comp. Our best is the best.

We are a young side. We face a more experienced team. But what this means is that we are at the beginning of something special. The future is ours. This is a once in a generation side we are putting together...and tonight we make our stand.

And we as the fans will be there...til the end...win, lose or draw.

Everyone attending tonight, who bleeds black and white, has to be at their very best, and sometimes their very worst tonight at the MCG.

It is a tactic that Geelong do not have, they have a small support base, and we will out number them about 3 to 1 tonight, and we mist use this to our advantage.

It's our home game, let's make the G a fortress, rock it to it's foundations, and let our boys know we are all behind them.

NO HOLDING BACK TONIGHT, no matter who is around you, no matter how pissed off the Cats supporters get, it's time to unleash hell, and make a noise that hasn't been heard since the 02 prelim, THE TRUE COLLINGWOOD ROAR.

Enjoy.:thumbsu:

I don't think i've ever been excited this much for a game of football... I can't work because i am too focused about tonight. I hope we smash them by 10 goals.

Jolly, Ball, "Spud" Leigh Brown
Came to our club to win the crown

Tough as nails, Jarryd Blair
A welcome sight, without the flair

Travis Cloke may have the yips
From the cup, is where he sips

Harry O, applies the press
Kicks it long, it's not a guess

Captain Nick, some had their doubts
But he is focussed, we're thereaabouts

Swanny, Dids, Pendles & Shaw
Epitomise what we're playing for

May you use your team mates past and present as inspiration. Over the past 10 years Tarks has pushed his body to the abosolute limit with determination and gut running pushing himself to get space. O'Bree has taken hit after hit in and around the packs to clear the ball. Fraser has been jumped into week after week. Rusling has continually broken down and managed to have the mentally toughness to get back on the track all for the chance to be a part of something like this.

Tonight Luke Ball will continually put his body on the line with no regard for his own personal safety, Swanny will get to every contest he is physically able too, Thomas will push himself to exhuastion, Pendles will be willing to stand and take a tackle get the ball to a team mate and Maxwell will throw himself human cannon ball style into an on coming pack, you can take these things to the bank. While we have every right to feel like the best side out there the difference is not that great and the team who rises to the occasion, who wants it most and wins the 1%ers will win the game.

Go at there and make history.
