It wasn't till I saw the great video from 1Percenter that I noticed the frequency of Goldsack's tackles. On the stats (at Player Profile) he's credited with seven for the match. Only four disposals though. Curious. How much game time did he have I wonder? Given his recent VFL sojourn he must be going through some changes. Any comments?

Only really getting his fitness back now, doesnt have the confidence he had of last year which explains the fumbles.

But his tackling, smothering and hard work is fantastic

his tackles stick dont they lol and his speed is really good to close down on the contests

i love watchin him play when hes in a bit of form , as he is fearless.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he played on Dal Santo which for me, translates to a pretty good performance from Moneybags.

His problem long term is his a bit of a tweener, jack of all trades master of none type player and I struggle to see which position on the ground he will own. He looks like the type of guy who will struggle to ever put enough weight on to play KP and whilst he moves well enough he really isn't clean enough in the skills department to play mid and I am not sure he is good enough to play a rebounding type flank role. I think he offers enough versatility to be a valued team member but I just don't see the same star potential that others seem too.

Just to add a bit further I really do rate him as a one on one defender, the problem is their are very few match ups for him, many are simply to strong or too tall or to quick. If he ever did bulk up he has the potential to be an awesome backmen but as I said he was a mature age U/18 player so whilst being drafted at the same time as Reid and co is actually the age of Pendles n co. He will be a great role player. Is reliable with the ball. Is reliable when he has a match up. Does all the 1%.

That's my problem too. You can't just survive on tackling, negating and 1%'ers in todays game. You need at least a modestly effective possession rate to give real value. He was doing that last year so we know he can do it - but he needs to get it together early next season at the latest.
