Anyone delisted from other clubs that we may be interested in, the rumour seems to be Stephenson from Geelong. I think Strijk from West Coast is pretty handy other then that looks like a fair bit of rubbish this year.

I would take sherman

i know nobody else probably would but in a good team he will look good.

could be a handy depth midfielder and would help our appalling VFL team

He doesn't pass, or do defensive things. He is has a bad attitude on and off the field, and isn't that good on the field. No thank you !

Surjan, Petterd, Cook. They are the three I would take given the choice, none of the others appeal to me really. Symes a tad, but don't think he'd add anything to our list.

Nope, I'd like to think we are improving our player stocks & our IQ.

I think we'll take Stephenson.

Of the others, I'd be interested to see where Lucas Cook is at. Obviously a highly touted draft pick who has been delisted very early in his career. There must be something more to it because you have to give big guys a bit longer...especially high picks.

Not interested in Petterd simply because I think we have too many options in his position. I'd also take a look at Cruize Garlett...but think he wants to go back to Perth.

Realistically, I think we'll now take 1 recycled player...and use 4 draft picks. That said, we've already added Russell as a recycled player so we may just promote a rookie instead.

The following guys are the only ones I would have a second look at:

Mark Seaby - Best credentialled ruck. A cheap backup essentially.
Matt Campbell - is a very decent crumber with experience, just keep him away from Crown
Cruize Garlett - I have seen a fair bit of Cruize and I think he is worth a shot still
Ricky Petterd - A handy depth player if nothing else.
Matthew Bate - Big body, can play a role - perhaps no better than Tom Young though.
Hayden Jolly - worth another shot, still very young & perhaps wasn't comfortable on the GC.
Tom Gillies - Probably more to his delisting, but he seemed to go OK when he had a chance.

They could all serve a purpose, but nothing particularly exciting.

Hope the guys that have been delisted and not picked up are Ok.

Eg Kirk Ugle, has a young family to look after and isn't too likely to get picked up.

Seems a nice young kid, very proud of his young girls going by his tweets, just hope they're all OK.

felt the same about kirk when i heard he was delisted yesterday. all i could think of is when he said he hoped football would give him the chance to be the first person in his family to our their own house. not sure what his chances are of getting another go in the afl, hopefully the wafl will provide him with some sort of platform.

While we are throwing up shithouse ruck names like Stephenson and Seaby, why not Andrew Browne as well!!

Poor ginger nuts always get lumped in together.

Genuine question..

Anyone rather Symes or Surjan over Russell? I'm not 100% sold on both, but you'd think it'd be 50/50 for both with Russell.

Anyway, for me...

Clifton from GWS seemed like an alright youngster.

If there are no quality small fowards, would a Bennell be a bad pick up?

Not 100% on any of those names, but they're the ones I'd pick out to talk about from that list.

The one I'm 100% on, and would be a dream, would be to talk Shuey out of retirement by getting him some sort of medicine course at Monash University by signing up with the Magpies. That'd piss the other clubs and the AFL right off, me thinks.

Think you mean Swift man
