So many Simpsons quotes in our heads!

Now, why couldnt any of us have used it the brainpower used for storing all that for something useful / or plot something diabolical instead?

Television is making us ordinary, mediocre (imagine, somebody with that brainpower to remember all those Simpsons quotes could have found a cure for cancer, aids) or on the flipside preventive of sociopaths (er... me  ) !

"Sometimes Maude underlines passages in my bible and I underline passages in her's'

*Homer talks under his breath*

"Sheesh good thing you dont keep guns in the house!"

^ The way he says that is my favourite tone to express my disgust at people

Burns' Heir:

Homer: Okay boy, I wrote down exactly what you say. Just read it and you're a shoe-in.
Bart: (reading Homer's cards) Hello, Mr...Curns. I bad want money now. Me sick.
H: Ooh, he card read good.
B: So pick please me, Mr. Burns.
H: It's Curns, stupid!
Marge: No it's not!
H: Disregard.
Mr. Burns: Oh, he's the worst yet. That's it! Everyone out! Except you, one step to the left.
(Bart moves to the left, Burns spins two wheels, the boot comes down and kicks him in the butt)
B: Ow!
MB: Excellent.
H: (after laughing hysterically) The boot kicked Bart! It kicked him right in the butt!

In year 12, we were studying Macbeth. We had to do readings of it in front of the class, everyone having the role of a character. I cant remember who I had to read, but I was unfortunate enough to get someone that says the word "Kurns".

Standing up in front of the class, reading out loud casually, I came upon the word. Read it out, then completely lost my shit. Couldn't stop laughing for like 15 mins, ended up crying, and had to leave the class. I couldn't talk through my laughter, so all during my fit of laughter, no one knew what I was laughing at.

After I recovered, I told one of my mates what I was laughing at. I also had to tell the teacher, as I assume she would have thought I was going insane. From that moment on, in all the readings we did of Macbeth, my teacher made me leave the class whenever "Kurns" was said.

Good memories.
