Brilliant!
I wonder what the accuracy % would be over a 10 year period between the snap goal or the conventional drop punt?

You'd probably reckon the normal approach would still be miles ahead as the snap is usually used for impossible situations until Steve Johnson came along and turned it into a genuine art-form when on the mark and lining them up.

Some of Stevie's goals over his career are up there with Daicos & Ablett. I love the goal he kicked on the ground against Richmond around 2005/2006 :D

I found that awesome goal but no commentary unfortunately :thumbsd:

I've got that one and commentary. ;)

That was good. Clarifies what happened too.

Good stuff.

Stevie is only an average set shot, but when he snaps he is a genius.

Hawkins might need to get some lessons?
Johnson is easily a better-than-average set shot.

From inside 40 metres. I think that's about his distance.

That was a pretty good vid!

I kinda wish Hawk went back and slammed it home instead (and maybe take home the Norm if he did?) but alls well that ends well!

Slightly off topic but personally I think I'll enjoy the 2011 GF win more than the other 2, altho when I was there 09 was the most special, probably because of how hard and tough the game was but more likely because of the party of several hundred (some slightly drunk :P) cats supporters who all sang the song over and over and OVER AND OVER for literally 30 mins outside the 'G.
Its likely that was the reason I missed out on 1 of the "I was there" 09 granny T-shirts :(

to be honest, '11 has it for mine as well. thompson leaving, ablett leaving, ling as captain, lonergan playing, scotts first year, pods, hawk... it had everything.

very, very special win. watching ling celebrate that final goal was really something.

man, i seriously love how a football team i have no connection to outside of following can be so special. loving all the extras from this game, too. 2 hours, premiers cut etc.

also very glad to find out stevie j wasnt demanding the ball. that was what i thought before all this came out. can definitely see now he is saying 'kick a snap'.

what a ****ing great year 2011 was. what a team!

cant wait for 2012.
