North Melbourne. Well that was disgraceful. Always were battling above their weight and had an absolute dream draw by their ex player who now is in charge of the AFL. Is it because of that or because no other club wants to play them because no one turns up to their games?

West Coast looked mighty. A real side. Enjoyed the game actually.

If we lost by that margin, and our coach was praising things like Brad was, I would feel ashamed. Brad Scott spinning more tripe.

They were thrashed. Some stats for a FINAL:

34 tackles. For the entire game. In a FINAL. They were -59 uncontested possessions meaning workrate was poor. In a FINAL.

Collingwood vs West Coast
Adelaide vs Fremantle

Both games could go to the visiting teams at this rate, then we'd have

Hawthorn vs Fremantle
Sydney vs West Coast

You'd think Hawthorn would beat Freo, other game could go either way with their history

Bloody Collingwood and their double chance and 2 VIC games.

WCE should have snuck in to the top 4. Collingwood are very lucky that they did.

I'll be tipping West Coast. Pies are average.

Anybody see the heading on the paper today page 68 The Tackle. Having a crack at Martin for only coming tenth in the b&f.
What a joke.
How old is he?

Will be interesting to see if WC back it up away from home against a much better side, they have a lot of players that feed off the crowd over here, then put in average performances away from Patersons.

They just fell short vs the pies at the G last time. I expect them to win this time.

I want Collingwood out so bad.

He also missed 3 games (2 from club suspension, 1 basically from injury in the last)

Also, that's more an indication of how other players performed this year and less about Martin.

Robbo is a moron. Why doesn't he talk about Hurley like that?

I know what an outrage a third year player has a off year. In a lot of ways it could be good for him having seen all the accolades Trent Cotchin has received and how hard he needs to work to be at the same level which he is capable of doing.
I'm expecting him to have a far better season and be a lot closer to the level of Cotchin and Deledio next year (which he can and should be)

I think we all want the Pies out bad, was at the game the other night and Collingwood would have beaten most of the other finals teams. Hawthorn are 5 goals better than anyone else when up and going and I'm still not sold on WC away from home. Taking nothing out of yesterdays match, that was like watching a game of touch footy and North were horrific.

From the article...
Comparing him to Trent Cotchin is probably unfair, but Cotchin, who was drafted a year ahead of Martin, already has two best and fairest awards to his name.
Lol, really? Pretty sure he was drafted two years ahead... those pesky facts, always getting in the way

And you know, Cotchin is one of the best players in the competition and unlikely to lose the JDM for the next 8 years :P

Am I the only one who thought Dusty didn't reach his potential this year? He was good, but not as good as I had hoped he would be.

So while Robbo is a dick, I think he had a point. Although probably not enough of one to add it to his article like this (did I mention Robbo is a dick?).

Hopefully next year he will be great.

I'm supposed to be doing the write up on Dusty, just haven't had time. But anyway, problem for Dusty this year was so many other players stepped up that he didn't have to play as big a role in games, he averaged more scoring shots but had a lower conversion rate for goals, he had a well known off field incident and has been targeted more as a player. The end of year break can't come soon enough for Dusty, just needs to forget about 2012 and start fresh.

Not sure I agree with this assessment. If you're going to be a gun you need to go past other players - not watch as they step up and you don't lift to match, especially when your young. Also I'd like him to remember 2012, and say to himself I haven't achieved what I wanted in that year, I need to do better.

I suspect it would be easy for him to rest on his laurels and just be a good player - but I think he can be great. Perhaps he's on track already but looking at the Jack Dyer I think the coaches are sceptical also. He really needs to pull his finger out to make '13 his breakout year.

Dusty had a huge pre-season, the expectations on him went up ten-fold in a single month. All of a sudden, he was being tagged in NAB Cup games (eg. Geelong). The blow torch really went on him, and it probably got to him a bit. If he was 24, I'd be concerned. He didn't have a bad year, he simply didn't meet expectations. Hopefully he just had his 2nd year blues a year later then most. Time will tell.

What Robbo should be reporting is... "Media idiots got ahead of themselves!" :p
