We've got the 'MOON' when Moondog gets the pill, but I reckon it would be unreal if we get one of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvz-l9SGoW8 going around KP when the 'Hawk is lining up for goal.

Was doing it as a bit of a laugh with a group of mates after a few beers at the G the other night, and although Hawkins didn't have too many set shots, we were joined in the silly TomaHawk Chop by a few others around us by the end of the game. Imagine there were 25,000 of us doing it!

Sounds ace to me. Theres not enough of this in footy IMHO. I already look like a twit due to the fact I have 24 on my back plus a sign showing support, so why not swing my hand thru the air in a 'chop' motion.

Love it - I'm In!

Gee i hope i dont get to carried away and chop the old granny that sits in front of me in the back of the head! CHOP CHOP CHOP!

Haha, will be on the lookout for a couple of others next week against the Lions then. Would be killer if a camera could pick up a group of people doing it - could go viral pretty quickly!

Does look pretty lame.

Better off going HOOORRRRRRRRK when he is about to mark on the lead.

Sounds like a good idea, but I agree with others in this thread....it did look pretty lame in that video. :o

What'd I like to see happen is for the cheersquad to get the Geelong chant going throughout the quarter time breaks. I remember them doing it at three quarter time when we played Port late in '07 and the way it rose into a crescendo after pretty much the whole Wade Stand got into it certainly pumped me up, and I'd imagine it'd have pumped the players up a bit too. Imagine if everyone joined in and we had 20,000 Geelong fans chanting for 5-10min straight. Would make the opposition feel like Christians in the Colosseum about to get mauled by some big cats. :thumbsu:

You guys that live in geelong really do let the club down in some way.

this sort of chanting should be an integral part of geelong, we have the only suburban type ground left in the afl, it should be compulsory that a few chants, like in the premier league, should get the whole crowd involved, it would pump up the boys and terrify the opposition.

i honestly wonder what runs through any muppets mind that does the clap clap clap crap.

if its ever going to happen, this board is the place to start it.

get yourselves organised and involved in a bit of history.

why not get a few ideas on this board, make a poll, and then send out mass emails???

Generally like the idea, maybe a bit early for the hawk- he doesn't need anything else to put him off. Doesn't take too long for things to catch on. I was at a night match in the 80s when my sister and I started the Bruce, Bruce chant for Lindner (!!!!!!) and before long everyone was doing it!!!
Go the Hawk!!!!!!

Too many nannas in the crowd down at Skilled I reckon. Can't see them going too far beyond the 'clap clap clap' crap.

It does always seem a bit quiet down there when I watch the games, hard to tell when I'm not there, though.

It's pretty weird actually. The crowd seem to be at their loudest when Geelong are either down or being challenged. It seems we've almost become complacent and know we're going to win (the fans that is, not the players), so seem somewhat subdued about it all, except when a team comes at us. Funnily enough, the loudest I can remember the crowd at Skilled in recent memory was in the last quarter vs Port in 2007 when we were trailing most the day, but made a belated comeback but were pipped at the post.

Cool why not, we are a pretty boring bunch down there;)

"Oh no, they're chanting"
"better run boys"

well its amazing how effective the crowd at subiaco can lift a terrible eagles/dockers side.

it makes me worry when a massive chant starts.

d i ck.

+1

I know the 'chop' might be a bit American, but I would love to see KP all making some sort of noise/chant in unison - make the Ablett Terrace sound like the Stretford End.

Just thought of one that'd be awesome. (borrowed idea from premier league)

to tune of "Hey Baby"

"Heeeeeyyy, heeyy Ablett, i wannaa knnoooowwoohhh, if you'll have a son!"
