Suggest you actually read Llambias' quote mate - he never 'admits' they see Pardew as a 20 year manager just says if possible, they'd love to have the same manager in place for the long term provided they get the results as well.

Tell me what club wouldn't want a successful manager sticking around long term especially if they bring some success. Every club would want that!

Sure we haven't been great this season so far but with the number of injuries we've had (more than anyone else I believe) to an already small squad plus the Europa requirements, it would stretch any club to the limits. Lets not forget Pardew is the reigning manager and league manager of the year.

Buying Benteke isn't pissing it away. It would be a risk but it could pay great dividends. Besides, it's not your money and it's not like you have limited money such as Arsenal

Balotelli was 4th in line and you paid more than that for him. Yes for 20mil you could probably do better but it wouldnt be stupid to buy Benteke

20 million for Benteke is completely absurd.

If they're relegated I can see us going in for him. I'd take him over Adebayor and Defoe in a heartbeat, mind you there's many strikers I'd make the same argument for.

From what I am reading it was 23m. The only reason I wouldn't buy him is that he is young and needs gametime which he will not get at City like Sinclair. If he would actually play then he would be a good get

Benteke is worth around £10m at the moment but would be the wrong signing for City.
